Hi all, I am thinking of switching to SureWest for my cable and internet because they have a really good promo going on right now. I currently have Time Warner and we are happy with them, they are just more expensive. What is your experience with SureWest? I hate getting use to the new digital cable, but if it saves me $80.00 a month, I don't think I'll care!! :) Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

I've had them for 6 years with not a single complaint. I even moved so have had them in both Shawnee and OP and both places I have had good connection and service when I need it. They have great customer service, in my opinion.

We had SureWest/Everest for the last 5 1/2, almost 6 years. We loved them and i was sorely bummed about having to switch to TimeWarner. I've never heard good things about timewarner's service, customer service... anything. Surewest was a breeze to deal with, never had service issues. since we moved and had to switch to TW, i've been on the phone to them every other day because something's not working right. i would switch back to surewest in a heartbeat.

We have SureWest and have prefered them to anyone else for dealing with. We only have internet and phone, though, we don't get cable so I don't know how that is.

We like Sure West and have had no problems. They are friendly when we talk to them on the phone and digital cable rocks my world! LOVE IT!

Plus, they do customer appreciation things every few months and they are super awesome! They did something at Deanna Rose and closed it down and everything was free...pony rides, fishing, etc. Plus they brought in bounce houses and face painting! The next one is at the T-Bones game. Not that that should be the reason you switch but it's a nice perk!

we had surewest and then our promotional period was up and the prices skyrocketed so we switched to twc. I wasn't happy about the switch because we had twc at our other house and had a bunch of issues with them but so far so good here...and way cheaper. if you do switch to surewest i would be sure to ask what the rates are going to be once the promotional period is up. We asked them to give us some sort of deal so we could stay with them because we really did like them but they weren't willing to even talk about doing anything and when we asked to speak with a supervisor it was "uh they're out of town".

Skip it. We have SureWest (live across the street from the HQ!) and have not been happy. The Internet is good, but cable is really buggy. They switched to AT&T U-verse (under a different name but it's the same) earlier in the year, which improved things but we still have issues. The DVR isn't reliable -- doesn't seem to understand which shows are first-run and which are not. We have also had it randomly skip episodes -- not cool with shows like Lost where you really need to see them in order. The schedule also isn't accurate. We had a heck of a time during hockey playoffs finding where our games were airing because the schedule wouldn't show them (but they were airing). The DVR only can record what's one to two weeks out, which is a pain.

We got really spoiled with DirecTV. We had no problems but switched to SureWest because of the attractive bundle offer. Kicking ourselves for giving them a second chance with the U-verse switchover. It started off good but quickly became buggy.

If you like Time Warner, definitely stick with them.

All I can say is do NOT switch to ATT. I can't speak to SureWest, and I'll be interested in reading the responses, but the customer service at ATT was so bad (even for their mistakes like when they cut the actual phone line while burying it and then couldn't repair it for 2 days) that I left after just 13 days!!
