TGIF - Could Mirana Cause This

First off TGIF. I have not slept well in almost two weeks. I need this weekend to catch up. Little man is with his dad and I can just relax.

I know every medication/ BC has side effects. Is not sleeping for more than 3-5 hours one of Mirana's? If so this may be short term. I cannot go on this little of sleep when I have to work. I have an apt with doc on the 18th to check up on things and I was wondering before I went if this is even worth bringing up.

What can I do next?

I do not have that side effects with mirena, and I've not heard of it before. But, you should still bring it up with the dr...

I've never heard of this being a side effect of the Mirena, but you should talk to your OB about it just in case.

I have had Mirena for the past 2 years and do not have that issue.
But that doesn't mean that YOU don't have the issue.
I think everyone has different side effects and meds affect each person differently.
Talk to your OB at your apt.

I had lots and lots of side affects when I had my Mirana, to include being agitated and not sleeping well. In fact, my symptoms became so bad that I had to have it removed after 6 or 9 months. I had my tubes tied instead; I was done with having kids.

Birth control is one of the hardest things a woman can take/do to her body, just because it disrupts so many different pathways in the body. Most women don't know that birth control is one of the ways in which the thyroid and the adrenals get depleted very easily, especially the longer you are on them. That's one of the reasons so many women have so many problems in their 40s as they start perimenopause, and their problems continue into their 50s and 60s with menopause. Because their bodies are completely depleted and no one has told them what to do to make their bodies healthy again.

So birth control is good in one aspect: it helps keep us from having unwanted babies or helps us space our family planning. It is very detrimental in the fact that it seriously depletes the body in many key elements.
