I just got home from work (I work mornings) to find out that my DD woke up with teeny tiny pin dot like red freckles all over her face. I am freaking out! I already have a call into the doctor but has anyone else seen this? She has no fever, is acting fine, has a runny nose.

Sounds like some sort of petechia...it can be caused by lots of thing. Throwing up and coughing too hard can cause this, especially if it's on her face. If it doesn't clear in a day or two, then I would consult a pediatrician. Apparently they can sometimes signify underlying health issues.
did she by any chance throw up recently? or strain to pick something up? this happens to my face whenever I throw up....it is just broken blood vessels. Are they bumpy or smooth - mine are always smooth....
Has she been sick? My son gets them when he vomits, bad coughing jags, or when he has respiratory issues,
If she has runny nose she could have been coughing during the night
Could be strep. My daughter had it once with ZERO symptoms except for the rash. If it last, you better take her in for a test. Even if she doens' t have anyother symptoms, she could infect others.
