My son needs to have surgery on his hand and he has no insurance. Is there a good orthopedic surgeon that accepts Medi-cal or a charity case.

Children's Hospital is a county hospital in LA and accepts medi-cal. They have world-renown surgeons there. You may want to try Miller's Hospital there in Long Beach too. Children's hospitals generally help children whether they can pay or not.
My son just had surgery himself on his hand this week. Have no clue about what the doctor accepts for insurance but here is his information. He did a great job, good anesthesiologist, good nurses.

btw - we have seen Dr. Petrie there for my daughter's knee issues as well.
I would check a surgeon that is affiliated with St. Mary's in Long Beach. I volunteered there and still work there and we have many no insurance cases where account managers help the family to get medi-cal to cover the expenses.
