I just found out that I am pregnant with baby #3. Woo hoo! My family recently moved to Riverview from Lakeland. I am looking for suggestions on OB's in small practices as well feedback on birthing experiences (good and bad) at Tampa General, St. Josephs, and Brandon Regional.

What can I do next?

hi B. congrates!! I want to share my fantastic experience with you. I just had my daughter 15 weeks ago at Labor of Love Birth Center of Tampa. They take low risk pregnacies. They do all of your prenatel and post partum app. there. The care is with a midwife who is an expert in her field. I myself is a birthing assistant and have nothing but good things to say about my care and Birth. Everything was low key on my time. No bright lights or intervetions all natural and so awesome! I would love to tell you more if you are intrested. Its a home like enviroment and I think you would like it. Let me know and I can give you more info. Take care!

Stay far, far away from A-Z Women's Care- Dr Abdel-Aziz. I don't know what kind of birth you want but he will use any and all interventions. He even yelled at a friend of mine while she was in labor. I used him for my 1st birth and fired him during my 2nd pg.

If you want a natural birth and don't mind driving, Labor of Love is an awesome birth center. There's one in Lakeland, Dunedin and Lutz. http://laborluv.com/ That's where I went for my 2nd baby's appts and had my 3rd baby (water birth).

If you'd rather have an OB practice, I've heard great things about Dr. Zweibach http://www.zwhealth.com/

I had 2 of my babies at Brandon. I don't remember having any complaints besides the usual. They are very by the book and like interventions whether necessary or not IMO. Be prepared for the nurses to wake you up or bug you every few hours to make sure your baby has nursed. This annoyed the heck out of me. I could get way into it but I won't. ;)

I go to Tampa Bay Woman's Care with Drs. Solomon, Bray, Perkins, Young and Morris (last two are male). I delivered at St. Joe's and had a good experience. The nurses are wonderful. I have heard nothing but great things about St. Joe's. Plus they have a good NICU in the unfortunate event it is needed. Good luck!

I'm wondering the same thing. :) I've tried out two doctor's offices in Brandon and I'm ready to move onto a third. I swear I'm not a problem patient, just not getting the care I want. I'm curious if you found anything you like yet?
