My husband and I are seeking to find a few things.According to the state we used to live. In order to have our children living with us after their moms passing last month. We have to have psych evals, family therapy, regular therapy, family counseling, also parenting classes, in which are very important to us. We have interacted with many different places to find out they wont help due to us having some type of insurance.WE also have to do a homestudy, but due to our current situation we cannot use the house we have been living in so we are getting our own place. So in the meantime we can get started on some of these other things we need to do until we can have the homestudy done. Please if anyone has any information on where to get parenting classes, psych evals , couseling and therapy please write back.. Thank you so much in advance!

The Parenting Center in Fort Worth is a great place to start. They offer a wide range of services including grief counseling for children and parenting courses. They also work closely with many of the agencies that complete home studies and are very pro-family and compassionate. When I used to work in the social services field I referred many people to this agency and the families were pleased with their services. Their services are on a sliding scale basis. Best of luck to you...this will be a challenge right now but well worth it in the end!

Hy husband specializes in all of these things. His name is Aaron Robb. You can check out his website at www.texascounseling.org. Also, the post about the family center is spot on. He always refers people there if he can not meet thier needs. Feel free to check out the website and you can call him for information. He'll direct you to someone who can do what you need if he cannot.

You should probably start with finding an attorney who specializes in family law. I know that can be costly but if you and your husband want his children to be with you in Texas, you're going to need one sometime. I think it's great that the two of you are working together to bring the kids to their father's home.

Pray for guidance from God as he knows the plans for your family's life.
God Bless!
