I have used the magic eraser on my leather seats and it worked wonders! My son always puts is feet/shoes all over the back seat and it looked horrible. The magic eraser got rid of it all. I just used the plain white one with water. Then you probably should put a leather conditioner over that. You can call a car detail place and they should be able to help you as well.
saddle soap - they even sell it in spray bottles these days
Hi M.,
Please try Armour All cleaning wipes - they are packaged like Clorox wipes (same type of container) and you will find them in any auto supply store like Autozone or in the auto section of Walmart. I bought mine at Walmart since they had the best price.
Just the other day, I used these wipes to clean the interior of my Honday mini-van which has leather seats and they worked GREAT! I have three kids (8, 4 and 9 mos) and the older two would step on the seats to get into their booster seats so there was build-up of dirt on the front of the seats, in addition to food, crayon marks, juice spills, etc. in all sorts of places. The wipes cleaned all these items and dirt so wonderfully without harming the leather (which was my main concern). The dirt showed up on the wipes - I had to go over certain areas a few times to get it clean since there was that much dirt.
This was my first time to use these wipes and I am very pleased with them. Not only did they do a great job on the seats, but on everything else as well without leaving lint anywhere.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this item. The inside of my minivan (which I absolutely love) is nice and clean...at least for a little while. :>)
Hope this helps!

Get some saddle soap and follow the directions. I have used it to get curried fruit stains out of grey leather. Good luck!
Try Hairspray. But if the leather is dark, it will probably remove the coloring. I used the hairspray trick with a qtip when my 2 year old wrote on the back of our very light tan leather sofa. It worked very well. But remeber use it in a spot not so noticable to be sure it won't take the color out of the leather.
Hope it works!

Sorry no one answered last time. I read your question, but also have not the foggiest.
Can tell you about preventative things though. 1) my husband never wanted leather as long as the boys were small. He said they'd be too active and stain or wear down the surface of the leather and ruin it.
We always had upholstered seats/ furniture. 2) Once we had a rental car for 2 weeks and same thing--my husband said "they are going to ruin these seats." (It's my MIL's voice coming thru). So he went and got 3 clearance rack beach towels from Target and we sewed covers for the car seats that went under their booster seats and on top of the leather. Their feet, snacks, toys, etc...were on the towels, not the leather.
At first I thought we are the weirdest family in the world! But I must admit, he was right about seat covers working.
Hi M.,
sorry you did not get any responses- possibly because no one has experienced this issue- I am not sure you can get the stains out with the normal "on the shelf" products- but I get stains off my leather furniture with solvents I can only purchase over the internet.....PM me and I will gladly share my source with you......
You might try this in the mean time- use your liquid dishwasher product and dry cleanser (babo- comet etc) make a paste and let it stay on the stains for a while- it may take a couple of treatments before you see change- if this does not work- I can send you to the link for the products I use.
good luck and blessings
Try saddle soap- get it at the shoe shop or feed store. I have a horse and use my saddle products on my seats. I also have been known to just spray the leather seats down with 409 and wipe off. Really cleans it up. You would want to test in an out of the way location to make sure it doesn't mess up your type of leather- but I have done this to two Odyssey vans and one Windstar Van- all leather seats. Good luck.
The company I order products from has a wonderful stain remover. Please contact me privately at ____@____.com a great day!
If the Armour All car upholstery wipes or spray or other usual car leather cleaners won't work, have you gone to your local feed store? They have leather cleaners like for saddles, etc. That might work for you if everything else you've tried has failed. I came across some the other day so that's why I was suggesting it. I haven't tried it yet. My hubby thinks it's something that might work for his leather jacket but it's always worth a try for your car seats. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Good luck!
Have you tried any of the shoe products for cleaning leather, sas has some good ones I know. Give it a try. Good luck.
Well... have you heard of Sol U Mel. It's liquid GOLD!!! It is phenomenal I actually had to put it to the test when my little one was only 7 months old she left a nasty stain from her vomit all down the left arm on my ta leather jacket so- I figured it was ruined. NOT!!! Sol U Mel completely got the stain and the odor out. That's just one of the many, many, many uses for it. You may want to check out this website: www.saferforyourhome.com or send me a peresonal email for more info about it.
Let me know what you think M.!

hello, have you tried using Mr. Cleans magic eraser have a friend who says their great... hope this helps
If you have tried everything available to you on the market I would take it to a professional car wash - somewhere like Mr. Bubbles on Westheimer - or one of their other locations.
I'm not sure I would trust another type of facility - Mr. Bubbles not only deals with all vehicle types, they specialize in high-end vehicles as well.
I know this sounds crazy, but scrub it with a plain wet wipe and see if it doesn't look brand new!
I have no great recipe for the stains (sorry!) but I was given a seat saver when my son was an infant. It is basically a tough, stain resistant, slip proof piece that you set the booster seat on. It's like a bib for the seat or a floor mat. Some come with pockets and some are just the piece. He is decidedly messier than his younger sister who does not have one of those yet but her side of the back seat is much more worse for wear. She has been making messes for 14 months less than he has, too! Best of luck!
I would take it to a professional car cleaning shop. Then never allow food and drink back in the car!
Yeah right. I know, I have two girls. My plan is to just endure the mess (under the seats)--no mold or health hazards, of course--until we've outgrown our car, then take it to professionals, then trade it in on a new one. Good luck!
The other ideas for removal are what I would also suggest. If your hubby still complains about a few stains, just remind him "shabby chic" is the IN THING today :-)
Two items that are a mom's best friends: 1. cheap flannel back table cloths; 2. cheap shower curtain liners.
On the seats, fold table cloth, flannel side OUT, so it fits or cut to fit. Flannel helps keep it in place. Plastic keeps spills from soaking through. Just do NOT let the Plastic/vinyl stay in contact with the leather. Like the lady that sewed towels together, you can cut the shower curtain to size and sew it in between the towels for extra protection.
Use either to also put under high chairs during feeding for fast clean ups.
Mom to 2 grown kids, Nana to 4 g-kids, former nurse and childbirth instructor.
My suggestion would be to contact the dealer of you truck. Ask them if they have leather protectant and or cleaner for your specific car. Our Toyota SUV has leather seats and our Chevy SUV has leather seats. I have leather cleaner from both places that I use on the seats.
goodluck
M.,
I fell bad that no one could help ~ the truth is I don't have a clue, BUT...what I would do is take my car to someplace like Mr. Carwash and have them detail it. They would know best ~ OR...I would call the dealership and ask them. OR...I would go into a place like car-care and ask for a leather cleaner.
Just some suggestions, I hope they help. Good luck and God bless.
