I have a fairly new stainless steel sink that is becoming discolored. I usually just use your typical antibacterial spray to clean it, but there has to be something better. What do you moms use on yours?

My stainless steel sink is about ten years old and gets dingy, but all I have to do is sprinkle some baking soda in it (a generous amount) and let it sit. Then, add water and scrub with a sponge (the rough side). It works like a charm on mine.

I use baking soda for scrubbing. Then rinse & soak overnight with vinegar water. You can also use some cooking oil every so often to polish it up some. All this might sound too easy, but it works.

Hey there clean houses for a living and found out on my own one day when trying to clean the TEA stains out of it that on any sink not just stainless steel that Cascade dishwaser detergetnt wouks wonders! And detergent seems to work pretty good even the little packets! Just wet the sink a little first and pour or sprinkle some of the detergent in and and use cleaning brush to wash! Works like a charm!

Ditto for the baking soda and vinegar. I also found these dish towels at Walmart called barkeeper's towels and if you dry the sink with those after cleaning, it looks fabulous.

I have several different products that I use for stainless steel...not only does it work great, but it doesn't contain any toxins or chemicals. If you'd be interested in learning where to shop for these types of products (and many more)...give me a shout!

Good luck!
