Try comet or Bar Keeepers Friend, similar to comet. Also baby oil or WD-40 will make it shine. I am a neat freak with a messy husband too!
Does anyone know of any tricks to keep a stainless steel sink looking like brand new? I've tried everything from tooth paste and many different household cleaners. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I really like Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. They seem to do the trick. Good Luck. Hope it works for you.
Barkeepers Friend is the best...it is inexpensive and works so well. You will not be disappointed. Good luck.
I only use non-toxic cleaners and for stainless steel I love baking soda. It makes my stainless steel dishwasher and stove look like new.
Hi!
Here is a link about shining your sink. It is from the flylady & I hope you find it helpful. My sink looks beautiful after I follow these steps.

i use baking soda and some essential oils. it works great!
Hi J.:
I clean mine with Soft Scrub with bleach.....I wipe the S.S. in and around the whole sink and let it sit for maybe 10 minutes and then I rinse clean....Also after I finish the dishes I just wipe around the outside rim with a lysol wipe. Keeps it looking shiney.

There are some specific cleaning products for stainless steel. Like Pledge has stainless steel wipes or there are other's too. I've used this and it works great.
Hi,
I know the feeling about trying to keep the sink looking clean. I have found a little trick that really keeps it looking good, windex for some reason that works really well.
Hope this helps.

We use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser's for everything and they will make your stainless steel sink look like new again. Use it on your sink stops as well. We are neat freaks as well. Good luck!
Hi, I have used SOS pads. They work GREAT! Sink looked brand new. We have hard water and nothing else worked as well. That reminds me...I should probably clean my sink too!
Mr. Clean Magic Erasers they really are magic
You can also try Vinegar. (Baking Soda or vinegar are great for cleaning almost anything!)
Hi J.,
I have stainless steel sinks too and the best thing that works for me is filling one sink (as high as you can) at a time with hot water and a cup of bleach and letting it sit for an hour or so. Drain, then fill the other side. You don't need to scrub anything and it even gets the drain plug looking like new. Once you deep clean you just need to use windex or something similar to keep it looking great.
Happy cleaning!

I used scrubbing bubbles tub and tile on my stove and it looked great.
I learned by accident that laundry soap works really well. I was soaking some clothes in the sink and when i drained the water it was sparkling.. I mean sparkling never saw it look so nice. So now i just sprinkle a little of the powder (dont know how the liquid works) wet it down a little and use a rag to rub it around and it's absoutly beautiful. really easy, fast and it doesnt take much elbow grease.
I agree with bernadette!!. I forgot completely about those erasers!! They are wonderful! work wonders on most things around the house. especially on stainless steel and your stained coffee mugs!! =D
I use baking soda and water. Sometimes I use Comet. Also Barkeepers Friend works great on metals. It stinks a little, but shines things up and can keep them shiney for awhile.
I use those Mr. Clean scrubbing pads (the white ones that disappear over time) it's a really fine abrasive and the sink looks awesome!
You HAVE to try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! It's so easy to get your stainless sink sparkling clean!! These sponges are also great for taking crayon off of walls!
when i worked at the restraunt, they had us use hot water and a clean cloth then shine it up with window cleaner. So , when im home i use sos kitchen pads ( they work great! ) and windex. you should try this it keeps it looking new and gives it a great shine :-)
I too have struggled over the past with my stainless steel sink and have found 2 wonderful friends. Barkeepers friend and softscrub are both very wonderful to make it shiny again.
I use SOS pads on a regular basis
I am not trying to be a smartass here so don't take this the wrong way please!! I used to work for a cleaning service cleaning homes. I'm quite sure you've tried this already, but on the chance you haven't, well here ya go.....we used to use stainless steel cleaner/polish, it comes in an aerosol(sp)spray can. You can find it usually at any hardware store. It works very well , give it a shot!!!
Limeaway is the easiest way that I know. It chemically reacts with CaCO3 so you hardly have to scrub at all. Vinegar is a little more eco-friendly and is based on the same concept, but doesn't work as well.
Powder detergent is good but I don't buy as it doesn't always wash out of my clothing. I found Mr. Clean magic erasers to work wonders, even the dollar store cheapies work.
Soft scrub is good too but I prefers the Erasers!
baking soda, it's cheap and deodorizes at the same time. It's never failed me!!
