While I haven't had it done, there is a natural supplement to help with those veins so they become stronger and not burst near the surface. I'd be happy to tell you about it. Also, make sure you don't cross your legs often, drink plenty of water to flush your bloodstream and occassionally put your feet above your heart (in a lying position) to keep the bloodflow away.
