Hi everyone,
We are moving and the bathroom is much, much smaller than what we have now. I am a girlie girl with tons of lotions and perfumes. My husband says I have too much and with the limited space he has laid down the ground rules :-). So I am turning to anyone else that has had to work with limited space and get some organizing/space saving ideas. Also, ways to utilize the space in my daughter's room, it is a little smaller as well. Thanks everyone!

What can I do next?

You could get some plastic buckets or baskets wih a handle. I've seen some that look like a toolbox tray. Keep your favorite set in the bathroom, and the other sets in the bedroom( in a dresser, on a shelf, or even under the bed). I don't like to keep huge bottles of shampoo out, so I pour some into smaller bottles. I also make sure I'm not taking up space with expired medicines, etc. We just don't have room for a laundry hamper, so I keep one main one in the hallway instead.
For my son's room, we're still having trouble with space. Eventually, we'd like to get him the bunk bed with the desk underneath, but for now he has a desk that folds out from the wall. In the closet, we added the lower closet rod so he can reach stuff and we can put the out of season clothes on the top rod. We added a sideways shelf in the closet, individual small shelves on the walls, and a bookcase instead of a nightstand.

If your daughter is old enough, try raising her bed up a bit with those risers you can get at bed and bath so you can put thing under it. Be sure you are utilizing under the sink, behind the toilet and hang shelves where you can. You may be able to turn a corner of your room or the top of your dresser into an area to display you lotions and perfumes, even if you just grab them and bring them to the BR with you!

We have a large bathroom, but not much shelving, and with a toddler, I didn't want to have to lock all the drawers. I had a little 3 shelf cabinet (about 1foot square) we used in a very small bathroom and I put it on TOP of the vanity. It looks cute and keeps things away from my son. If your vanity is big enough, maybe that could work. Also, there are those over-the-toilet shelving units that go from the toilet to the ceiling - sometimes they just have shelves, and some are enclosed - here's a link to an example (http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&...)

we live pretty small.. that only thing that I can say just remember to work upward. We have tons of shelves through the house.. We have shelves in the girls room and use little plastic tubs to put their toys in and we take 1 or 2 tubs down at a time that they can play with. there are shelves you can put behind the toilet, just find a bunch of shelves and put your stuff.. thats the only advice I got.
