My almost 5 year old is always complaining that her "pee-pee" hurts. I always use Tide Soap, I always wash her new underwear before she wears it, I always make sure she washes right, I usually try to do it but now she will not let me because she says it hurts. She takes a bath nightly so I'm not sure what it can be???? Any suggestions???

Lori D, that was the very first thought that crossed my mind, its sad but you can never be too sure. I didn't ask her but she is with me unless she is in school/daycare and I trust all the ladies there. Her underwear don't fit her tight, BUT we are having a problem finding jeans that fit her right. she's gonna be 5 in two weeks but she's a big girl and size 5 fits her snug but size 6 is a bit too big still so we are staying away from jeans for now, I think that might be the problem, what do y'all think? She's been doing ok since I but some Butt Paste on her and I made sure she washed right and wiped right.
That happened with my daughter and I took her to the doctor thinking she had a bladder infection or something, but she said to try to turn your daughter around when she has to go pee where she is facing the back of the toilet. That way the pee drops down to the bowl and doesn't flow all the way down the vagina.
My daughter went through this too! Come to find out she was using to much soap and not wiping good enough. So with a little help I would assist her in these catagories. I use bag balm for all my children diaper rash ect. Maybe she willl let use use this. My daughter still comes to me when it hurts! This works!!!! GOOD LUCK
She could have a bladder infection. You can try making her drink more water it would help the infection run its course. What did the doctor say?
She may have a bladder infection. I would take her to the doctor. This is normal in little girls. Also, please ask her in the proper way if anyone has touched her inappropriately. This should be an ongoing conversation with all your children.
maybe its the cotton in the underwear,maybe its the babypowder,our maybe the underwear is too small. Try alittle aloevera it feel real good and cool.K.
