M.T.
I agree with the previous post, get up and walk around for a few minutes. Climb some stairs, walk, maybe get some fresh air.... I feel for you. I am prego with #2 and working full time and I have to get up at 5am for work, UGH!
I just started a new job after staying home with my daughter for 22 months. Well I feel like I am about to fall asleep at my desk around 3 pm. Does anyone have any ideas on what to eat/drink, etc something at that time? I am trying to stay away from the soda and coffee machine since I am 15 weeks prego. Sure do miss my afternoon naps :)

It's actually scientifically proven that most people experience an energy lull around 2:30-3pm.
Being so early in your pregnancy doesn't help, and because you are pregnant, I'd certainly recommend staying away from most supplements like 5 hour energy (which is really only equivalent to a cup of coffee anyhow).
If possible, get up from your desk, take a walk to the bathroom, around the building, up and down the stairs, etc. to get your heart-rate up. That's probably the safest way of doing it.
It will take your body time to adjust to your new schedule after being on a different one for so long.
Good luck!
Iodine is great for keeping your energy up. For a lot of ladies it gets low and leads to us getting very tired alone with other things. Also is something we need to be able to carry a child.
first trimester i was a zombie constantly! so like someone said i think some of this is unavoidable. one thing i love but you would have to check with your dr. is crystal light wild strawberry + energy. it is probably caffeine but about 2-3 pm is when i crash too (i am not pregnant) and i have started drinking these occasionally instead of soda. they are awesome, not like soda but just a little pick me up, and it counts towards your water intake. might give it a try! also like someone else said, lots of snacks!
Being pregnant certainly does make you tired at times! So I think some of your sleepiness is unavoidable. Try taking a walk outside (if you can) when you start to feel sleepy; the fresh air and activity will give you a boost. Also, you may need to change the foods you are eating earlier in the day? Sugary foods and refined carbs will cause a crash later so definitely stick to fruits and veggies, whole grain snacks without added sugar or corn syrup, healthy proteins like hard-boiled eggs, unsweetened peanut or almond butter, etc. Finally, I'd suggest eating small meals throughout the day rather than a big lunch. hope that helps!
I always found a banana helped to give me a healthy energy boost in the afternoon when i was pregnant.
Apples and peanut butter !
Fastest pick me up in the world, good for you and your baby, and won't make you crash later like caffeine or candy will.
:o)
Can you take a late lunch and go out an nap in your car for 45 minutes?
When I was pregnant I could sleep at the drop of a hat!
Good luck to you . . . and congrats!
