So I was wondering...about how old was your breast-fed baby when they started sleeping through the night? Or mostly all night?

What can I do next?

My first and third child started sleeping through at 5 weeks. My 2nd and 4th - UGH - over a year. My 4th - not until he was 3. They were all breastfed. The first and 4th only 5 months - the 2nd and 3rd around a year.

my 2 month old sleeps for about 5 hours. Started last week, but he's still up till 2am wide awake and back up at 7. lol. I really wish the little guy would learn that it's better to sleep after dark than when the sun is up, but after dinner he thinks it's playtime :)

all three were breastfed

the first one ate EVERY 3-4 hours for the first year...
did I want to do that again???

I did... the second, I don't remember as much I think maybe about 2 months there were times off and on that she slept all night... not very often

#3 slept all night when he was only 2 days old!!! My mom wanted me to wake him and feed him.. I said you've got to be kidding!!! lol It wasn't a normal thing to sleep all night, but was a blessing when he did and it was much more often than his sisters ever did :D

The actual "5 hours" thing that "counts"... like week 2.

Actually not getting up to EAT (except for growth spurts) ... apx year 2.
-caveat- he switched to going to bed at 10ish and getting up at 6ish with only 1 wakeup at around 8 months. When he dropped his morning nap, bedtime shifted to 7-6, same middle of the night wakeup.

Actually not getting up to PEE.... year 8 and counting (aka he still wakes to pee)

11.5 weeks with my son. He was 8 lbs 12 oz at birth. Sleeping "through the night" (6 hours or more at a stretch) before his 3 month mark.

Daughter, was only breastfed for the first month. She was sleeping 6 hours or more (actually she was sleeping 7 hours) by 7 weeks.
