Skinny Jeans for Curvier Women

I'm a size 6 and I want to buy skinny jeans to pair with my knee high boots. Problem - all of the skinny jeans I've tried on don't look good on me! I have a butt (not JLo but it's not flat) and the jeans I've tried on don't do anything good for me. They flatten my butt or are too tight/too loose in weird places...I think they'd look great on skinny, less curvier women but alas, that is not me. Any suggestions for brands to try? Thanks!

What can I do next?

What about some Jeggings?? They dont flatten anything but they stay skinny because they are like leggings. I bought a black pair from Nordstroms and love them

I love Mamyof2's answer--I'm sure it's not THAT bad though!!!

I am the same size as you and I definitely am curvy. Regardless of brand, I have to go for a dark wash with some stretch in them. I got an expensive pair (Hudson) on sale at Macys, and a super-cheap no-name brand for $30 at a shop downtown where I live, and I can't say that one looks ANY better than the other.

I am a size 10 and curvy as well. Hello, ladies, curvy is not a another word for fat! You can be curvy of any weight and size! I have always had the same problem as you. Gap Skinny Jeans work really well. They are dark wash, a good medium rise and has stretch in them. You will not have any gaps in the back. The rise is at the top of your hip bone. And plenty of room in the caboose.

I hear your pain, I do have a JLo butt, only that mine is soft would be great if it was hard) and I also have very thin claves, and big boobs, and small head.
I look like an ice cream cone with a cherry on top.
I have being looking to buy the ID curve from Levis but haven't wanted to spend the extra $$$ so waiting for a sale, but they have good reviews, so may you want to try those!

try a fit called Gradual Skinny (more room in the curve areas) OR Apple Bottom brand or Lucky brand jeans - made for junk in the trunk girls ;)

I am petite and curvy too, size 6P in the old navy "dreamer" cut works well for me. the price is agreeable too. I think they make it in a variety of leg shapes, including skinny.

Good luck to you and yours.

I'm a 4/6, two good brands to try are Levi's and Gap. The Levi's seem to be "less skinny" than the Gap ones. I prefer the Gap brand to the Levi's. Go with your regular size because they will stretch, if you go up a size they'll end up stretching out too much. goodluck!

First....sz 6 isn't curvy ;) I say that lovingly of course!! I have ALWAYS had a caboose! I'm a 2/4 now & it's still there for sure :)...my grandmama was from Greece so I got it honest........ Anyway!! I recently bought a pair of William Rast jeans (drk wash) and I LOVE them! The tag said straight with boot. Whatever that means, but they are super low which I'm finding is better after you've had a couple of bobs. Sorry we say bobs instead of babies in our house..don't ask :) They're fitted but have a lot of stretch. "We love a little give!!!" I remember Oprah saying that one time :)......sigh........

I bought them off of ebay, which is where I have restocked my entire jean collection. You just have to be careful to not buy fakes and you can get amazing deals. Authentic forum is an amazing site to check authenticity.

Check out Diane Gelman pants on Home Shopping Network.
I think they are called "DG". She makes skinny jeans for women who have shapes to them. I ordered some in size 2 and they are too big in the booty/hip area, but that's because I'm built like a stick.
Check them out though. She sells zillions of them and I think she gets very high feedback.

Just a suggestion.

I don't even bother...I am an 8 and have a butt that would make JLO look flat back there. Always have, even when I was in high school and a size 2/4 i STILL had a bubble butt. I might check out those Gap ones though!

I'm also a size 6, but I have a flat butt :( I bought a pair of skinny jeans from LOFT that I love! They have a "curvy fit" that didn't work for me (I bought the modern fit) but maybe it would for you? I also second the jeggings idea. I bought a pair on sale at Kohl's recently (they're the Elle brand) and they look super cute! They definitely fit like leggings, tight in all the right places, but they look cool b/c they're "denim-y".

Hahahaha! Ok I am a size 2- sometimes can fit in 0 depending on the time of year and the brand...I also have a booty. Thank goodness- my sister is law is pencil thin not a curve to that girl, a ruler has more curves, she is a size 0 and NO butt- I think I look much better in my skinny jeans. I love Old Navy jeans- you can find your fit... mine is flirt- not low ride but not high (lower than mid rise I think but no crack showing) doesn't flatten my butt or ride up in the front- great fit in the waist,etc....then find your style. I have skinny, bootcut, loose, trouser, etc. Go shopping, try stuff on and eventually you will find your perfect skinny jeans! And a size 6 or even a 2 can be "curvy"- apparently curvy has become associated with overweight- sorry if I offend but I don't call that curvy...you gotta curve in and out to be curvy. Good luck and have fun shopping!

Try jeans made out of the stretchy fabric that way they won't be too loose anywhere and they will do your "trunk" justice.

I have the same problem. They look super cute on my sister who his like a size 2, but she also is only 21 and has no kids, lol! I'm between size 8 and 10 and I too have some curves, and I just can not wear skinny jeans. I usually wear either straight jeans or boot cut. I love american eagle jeans and they are reasonably priced ($39) and I also LOVE gap sexy boot jeans but they are really expensive
