Ok wednesday I went to the hair salon to get my hair done.one the stylist were selling body shaper and she wanted me to try one on but it was the kind that you need help getting in to. Well I totally forgot that I was in a rush that morning, and just jumped out of the shower and didn't have time to put any lotion on so I was super ashy! When i noticed that my legs looked like I had been rolling in flower I made a joke out of it! My question is should I be embarassed or should I just realize that everybody has a bad day and maybe they didn't have on any lotion either? Everybody has a bad day right? Maybe u can tell me about one of your most embarassing moments.

What can I do next?

Embarrassed about dry skin?? I can't even fathom it. Would anyone really even notice or care if they did notice? I can't imagine why they would. Maybe it's time to look at the big picture and realize that a bad day for many people around the world is not having any food to eat or clean water to drink or a soft place to lay their heads or family around because they all died. Maybe it's time to start volunteering for some charity that serves the poor in our own city. I did Meal on Wheels for a while and I loved it. Check it out- I think that's a good place to start. Then you won't even think about people noticing or caring about your dry skin, you know? Hope I didn't sound mean or gruff, just pointing out reality. I really mean to help. Life's too short.

Do not worry! The other day I said a-s-s in a van full of church kids. Two kids got in a big screaming match and I told them to "get thier a.... out of the van" Then all the kids started telling me how I was the wrost youth leader ever and that they never hear others say bad words at church or in the van. So, I had to go and talk to 6 sets of moms and tell them how sorry I was. Then I had to talk to the pastor. It all blew over, but it was a bad day. Hope you have a nice weekend. Do not be to hard on yourself.

B.,
While I can certainly understand where you are coming from, I find it kind of strange that it bothers you this much that you need to ask about it - please know I'm not trying to sound rude :-) Like the first mama said, let me help you put it into perspective....my friend has a son who had a heart transplant three weeks ago and is now his body is rejecting that heart...they don't know if this child will be alive by the end of today....ashy legs? Not such a big deal, believe me, those ladies haven't thought of you once since you left the salon, don't give it another thought...

Hi B.,

"Should" you be embarrassed...Should is a weird word. It invokes guilt. It's not one of my favorite words. You are certainly entitled to your feelings.....embarrassment included. However, since you are questioning your feelings......I'm going to guess that you don't want to feel that way. Sometimes I do think we do worry needlessly about what others think of us. It's something we can strive to get past, but I don't feel you need to beat yourself up about it.

No one is perfect........yet we all are. Does that make sense? My advice to you would be to work on being okay with letting some things go. Skipping lotion once in a while is certainly no crime. Forget the "should." Tell yourself I could have put on lotion today but I just didn't want to take the time." You are entitled! Worrying about what others think is no crime either......but it makes you uncomfortable, so just work on it. Tell yourself, "hey, whether this person likes me is not going to depend on whether I have on lotion, and if it does...LOL!"
All the Best,
P.
