We bought a house about 6 months ago and LOVED our agent, Suzannah Martin from Koenig and Strey in Evanston. LOVED her. She was friendly, easy going, direct, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. You could try a credit union. They are smaller than banks, and, in our experience, more personalized. We used New Trier Credit Union and had a very good experience.
