Seeking Shoes for 18-24 Month Size at Reasonable Prices (Under $20) - Santa Clara,CA

Hello! I am looking for gold and black shoes for my daughter's holiday dresses, but am not willing to spend more than $30 for a pair of shoes that she will only wear for 6 months, maybe even two hours. Does anyone know of any consignment stores? I've tried the Goodwill Stores of Sunnyvale, but have not found anything.

What can I do next?

I buy my kids shoes at Target and or Kohls. They are about $14-15 and supper cute. I saw gold dress shoes at Kohls the other day for $12.99 on sale sizes 2-10, they had black, pink and white as well. I figure that the kids ruin them so fast that I need to buy new ones in 3-6 mths anyway so I mind as well save some money.

I picked up a pair of black velvet shoes - sort of ballet flat style - for $6.99 (regular price) at Target. They're "holiday" shoes so aren't with the other shoes. I saw them on a rack with the holiday dresses and such. They're obviously not the highest quality, but I (like you) am only planning on having her in them for a few hours.

You should check out Ross, Marshalls or TJMaxx. There kids shoes are definitely under $30. Or go to Mervyns. Since they are closing the stores, everything is at least 50% off. Or if that is still too much, maybe a flea market?

Hi Rhea,

Go to Payless Shoesource. Right now they have a Buy One, Get One Half Off(BOGO) sale. I just bought my daughters Christmas shoes there(black) and they also had gold and silver.

You can try www.ebay.com. They have used and brand new shoes and items for much less $$ than elsewhere. I'd warn you against buying from the really cheap stores though: oftentimes, items sold there are not truly safe. I recently read a report about tests for lead conducted on the random toys and shoes in the major stores, like Target, Wall-Mart, Baby'sRUs. They found lead in the shoes for 6-months-olds sold at Target! Better buy high quality shoes like Robeez, or some other brand you trust, either gently used, or from ebay. Another option is www.craigslist.org.

Hi Rhea,

I would buy a NEW pair of shoes and not used even if it's just for a few months. A used shoe is already molded to someone else's foot and is harmful to your child's foot. You can double check with her doctor. Your child needs a new shoe for proper development and molding of her own shoe especially at this age! Leather is best.

Happy Holidays!

I was going to suggest Payless Shoes Source also.
