Seeking Pill with Minimal Side Effects

I am on Loestrin Fe as well. I was prescribed this bc of the horrible headaches I would get right before my period. This pill has been wonderful, with no more headaches. I have no side effects what so ever. Just something else to think about.

I've been taking Portia 28 for years and have had no side effects. I even take it for 3 months straight, then don't take it for a week to allow myself to have my period. Still no side effects.

I used to take the Loestrin until I accidentally got pregnant while ON the pill, so obviously this pill was too low of a dose for me and once I gave birth, I immediately checked into other options that were a bit stronger as I don't want to end up pregnant again. At first, I tried Yaz but became so ill with nausea that I had to leave work. I could not concentrate and I felt dizzy, and I was worried I would not make it home while driving. The side effects were too much for me to ignore and I could not tolerate it, even on day 3 of attempting to take it. I ended up missing half a day of work and a whole day the next day, due to the side effects. I ended up switching to Lutera, a generic to Aviane and I'm pretty happy so far. I have been on it for about 4-5 months, and had no side effects that I could really notice. Every person's body is different though and what may cause me side effects may not cause you side effects, so the best thing to do is give different pills a try till you find one best suitable and compatible for your body (zero/few side effects). I am on the Loestrin 24 to regulate my periods. I have had no side effects from this pill and thank goodness for that. Every other pill that I have ever been on I have had side effects from and do not react well too, I have not had those problems with this pill. Talk to your ob about this one.

Just wanted you to know that I have been taking Yazmin with no side effects. I was on Camilla before, also nursing, but I needed more estrogen.

I have been taking Loestrin Fe 1/20 since I was 18 yrs old to prevent ovarian cysts. I liked it so well I have never changed. I am 46 now. No side effects at all.I hope this helps!

I use Camilla--also known as Nora BE. (one of them is the generic brand but I can't remember which one). I've been taking it for close to 2 years now with no side effects. It's a low dose pill (I was nursing at the time and it was what my doctor prescribed). Most people who are on a low dose pill won't have side effects. I don't know if you have insurance or pay out of pocket but I get mine (I pay out of pocket) at Kmart for $25 a month. Hope you find something that works for you!

I liked Yaz but would only recommend it if you have serious cramps, emotional extreme, and heavy bleeding. Otherwise, look at something else.

I was looking at Mirena and heard good things about that. But didn't get it cause I really couldn't get prego again and couldnt use condoms (due to them hurting me)til my 6 post pardum check up.
