Looking for some referrals for an OB GYN in the Miami area. I don't even know where to begin in looking for the right doctor/practice. Has anyone had any spectacular experiences in this regard close to my area? I would really prefer some personal referrals to reading random profiles on the Internet.

So What Happened?

Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond! I have a good list of doctors now to choose from and feel much better about my search. I think I'll start by location; Miami Beach is only 5 minutes away. I really appreciate everyone's help and hope after some experience I'll be able to help too. =D

I see Larry Spiegelman but anyone in his groups is excellent (Monzon, Iparaguirre, Kellogg, Safinski, Khomvangsa). Dr. Spiegelman delivered both of my children and stayed with me for my first birth even though he wasn't the doctor on call. His office is in the Baptist Hospital medical arts bldg.

Im currently 35 wks preggers...and Im seeing Joseph Triana at Mercy Hospital. This is my second child and my first experience wasnt so great so I changed obgyns. He is a young Dr and is very sweet and attentive. It helps that he has a small practice and you can get that personal attention that you want at a time liek this not to be treated like just another case. My best advise is read up and dont be afraid to whine or give you opinion, if you think something is wrond be persistant. I wish I would have been the first time aroudn but you tend to trust your Dr. but its your gut that knows the truth. I totatlly recomend Dr. Triana and his staff really nice helpful and a great listener. Dr. Triana ###-###-#### :)

Coincidently, I went today to a new ob/gyn physician and I liked him. He was very patient, he answered all my questions and he was very thorough. His name is Anthony Cardella.

Hey M.,
I live in South Miami, Cutler Bay. I can tell you that my OB/GYN is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!I really believe that;) His name is Rafael J. Perez. He deliverd my baby boy Oct. 2004 and my baby girl Dec. 2005. Both C-section. I was up shopping after a week. Which means he is gentle:)I believe he graduated from Harvard. He is super smart and experienced. His office staff are the best. Here is his info###-###-#### - 7000 Sw 62nd Ave Ste 454a, South Miami, FL

Nearly all the ladies at my husband's office see him. He is fabulous! Wouldn't switch doctors for nothing!
