I have a 14 month old son that has had several ear infections and illnesses over the past 5 months. I have been taking him to a pediatric office in Rowlett but I'm not exactly happy with the office. I'm looking for a Dr that I am comfortable talking to and will answer all the questions that I have. Any help/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kurt Philguer or Dr. Chin at Rockwall pediatrics ###-###-####. They are wonderful, the have a 24hrs answering service, and they do actually return your calls at 3am! Once my daughter was very sick and Dr. Kurt told me to take her to Lake Point ER, when I arrived the ER knew I was coming and had already been told her symptoms and I didnt have to wait, we were taken right in and then when I checked out I was told that her Doctor had called and asked how she was and her diagnosis. Then the ER Dr. told me that he was to call once we were discharged. I have dealt with Dr. Chinn on many occasions as well, and was very pleased. You will like him, my daughter loves them. They never forget a face or a name. He is not an " get em in and out" kind, he takes as long as you need to discuss there condition or sickness and he answers all your questions, he also on several occasion has given me some information paper work to take home to look back over later. I belive there website is rockwall pediatrics.com and Recently Dr. Kurt, Dr. Chin and there office had a positive write up in the dallas morning news. Good Luck!

You might not wantto travel this far, but The Garland Pediatric doctors are all great. I have used Dr. Rosemary Roseberry for 14 years, she was just a beginner back then. She is great with ear infections and asthma. If she is not in the office, you can always see the others - my second recommendation is Dr. Shawn Abel. Personally I prefer women pediatric doctors, I think they respond much better with mom's and kids. The number is ###-###-#### - Pediatric and Adolescent Associates of Garland, 601 Clara Barton, Suite 250 -- brand new facilities - very nice - takes almost all insurance.

Hope this helps.

I live in Rowlett, and never hear very good things about any of the Rowlett ped's.!

I would strongly suggest Baylor Family Medical Center at Rockwall but it is located in Heath. We go to Dr. Foote and we absolutely love her. There are other doctors there some of which we have seen just b/c we needed to see a doctor right away and Dr. Foote was out of the office. We have absolutely no complaints and it is close to you. We use to live in Royse city and then moved to North Dallas and we still drove all the way out to Rockwall to see our one and only doctor.

Their number is ###-###-####

As for the ear infections and illness my son (who is 4 now) was the exact same way. We were even considering getting tubes in his ears but he was never not sick long enough to do that. Eventually he grew out of it and hasn't had any problems with ear infections since then.
