The best nasal aspirator I've found is Nose Frida. http://www.nosefrida.com/ It seems odd at first, but I promise you it works wonderfully. Our son still gets annoyed by it when we use it, but he got annoyed by the bulb nasal aspirators as well, and at least with the Nose Frida I can control the suction and make it quicker and also see what is being sucked out (may be too much info for you, but has been helpful for us when dealing with our two little munchkins). :) And I promise, there's no danger of sucking any snot in, there's a filter that blocks any danger of that happening. If you do decide to purchase it, I would suggest you buy a pack of additional filters at teh same time as well. You can wash and reuse the filters for several uses, but it will be more cost effective for you to order the extras at the time of purchase since they're so cheap and shipping will be more than the actual cost of the filters. Happy snotsucking! :)

Hi Mitra,
I preferred using the Little Noses saline drops. It cleared my daughter right up. Just a drop or two in each nostril. They sell one as a package, with both the saline drops and the aspirator, but I never used the aspirator. I like that brand because the nozzle is small enough for a newborn. You can find it at Target and Wal-Mart, or any drug store.

It kind of surprises them the first time you use it, so be forewarned your child may be surprised and then cry a little. But they'll be able to breathe comfortably right away.

Any drugstore sells them, but you need to buy the one that is for ears. That is the one at the hospital.
