I am new to the group and am looking for a playgroup for my nearly 10 month old daughter. I live in Sarasota, close to Sarasota square mall and I would really like to get to know some other mothers in the area.
A., there is a playgroup (Elfin Playgroup I believe is the name) that meets 2x's a week (Mon & Thu mid morning used to be the day/times) at Nokomis park (on Nippino Trail.) I went a couple of times about a yr ago, but then had to return to work ft. It seems like a really nice bunch of moms, not clique-ish or anything, and the playgroup leader seemed great too.

Do you know if there is anyway to find one more local to me or otherwise, Sarasota is just fine. I'm going to be staying at home part time with my daughter who just turned two. My name is K.. I am almost 38, but I live in Sarasota and our kids are of similar ages. My daughter is 3 and 1/2 years old and my son is 4 and 1/2 months. I belong to a homeschool group that meets for regular play groups as well as other events. Don't know what your schooling choices are, but I found them on yahoo groups. If you aren't in on the homeschooling idea, you should be able to do a search for Sarasota moms there. I love the group I am in and am starting to make a few great friendships for both me and my daughter. Good luck.
