I want to feel comfortable with my childrens pediatrician. Not someone who just looking at what type of insurance you have. CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

What can I do next?

If you don't mind travelling to West Haven (probably only up to 10 minutes from anywhere in NH), there's a wonderful group called "Staywell Pediatric Group", we've been VERY happy with them! WE happen to have "Husky" right now, and they don't treat us in a way that would make us feel uncomfortable, ya know? THey're very professional and nice, treat our almost 2 year old really nice. If you get on I-95 South, get off exit 44, follow it down a few blocks (you're on I think Kimberly, which quickly turns into Elm Street about a block down), a block past Campbell Ave, it's on the right hand side, a quick drive from New Haven.
While I was pregnant with Gina, I was still working at the hair salon in Hamden, and we have a few nurses that work at Yale, work closely with these doctors, I actually asked THEM to recommend a pediatric group to me, and the NURSES are the ones that highly reccomended this group to us. Good luck!

Welcome to CT!!! There is a great Pediatric group in Hamden on Whitney ave. It is pretty central to most towns. I am unsure of the actual group name but know of a bunch of people who bring their children there. You may want to Google it and see what you find. Unfortunately everyone asks "what kind of insurance do you have"? no matter what kind of Dr. it is. Hope this was helpful.

I recently moved to the area from Baltimore. My sister-in-law is a pediatric nurse practicioner in the area and recommended the office we currently go to in New Haven. The doctor we see is Shari Storeygard, and there are 2 other in that office - Dr. Ferhold and Dr. Singer. They are on Whitney Avenue. I couldn't be happier with the practice. They are very thorough and give 45 minutes for well visit appointments! Apparently that is unusual for many doctors. The office is small with minimal frills - but the care really makes up for it! The number is ###-###-####.

Good luck.

Welcome to New Haven!!! I live in Hamden near Southern CT State Uni. (not far from Westville) and I have chosen Whitney Pediatrics at 2200 Whitney Ave in Hamden. Their telephone number is ###-###-####. My son's pediatrician is Dr. Cynthia Mann. She was recommended to me by my son's primary nurse in the NICU at Yale. I am love with her and the entire office. They treat us like family, and they have since day one. My son was born 13 weeks premature (no one would ever know, Thank GOD!!) and either she or someone from her office show him every day for the nine weeks he was in the hospital. They are great and I highly recommend them. Good Luck on your decision.
