Seeking Dentist in Keller

We use Steven Huffstutler in North Richland Hills, we recently switched and have been very pleased. His staff is great to deal with, and the hygienist is probably the best I have been to. She is quick and does a great job. It seems really weird to rave about teeth cleanings, but she really did a great job. I liked the dentist, too, but had more dealing with her since we have just changed about 6 months ago and haven't had any issues come up yet.

I went to Monarch Dental in Grapevine. Stay away!!! Your first examination requires x-rays galore, several people coming into talk to you and they take lots and lots of notes. I have pretty healthy teeth so it wasn't like there was a whole lot to discuss. Basically I was in there for over an hour and a half without even getting a cleaning. I had to make a separate appointment for that. The staff was rude and I felt like they were totally clueless.

I told my old dentist where I had been, and he and the whole staff shaked their heads and said "yep, that's Monarch for you." After telling several people my story, it seems like every Monarch is run that way.

I am a dental hygienist and I would steer clear of Monarch. I don't know anything about Steven Huffstutler but one of my classmates from hygiene school worked at Oasis. She really liked working there and I would trust her opinion. I would receommend checking them out first. Good luck.

You must have the same insurance we do. We were given Oasis as the auto pick on our plan but my daughter goes to gymnastics right next to it twice a week and we have NEVER seen anyone there. I don't know if they aren't even open yet or just have odd hours or what but I changed before even going. We picked the Monarch on Davis just past N Tarrant. I was told if Monarch is on the list that you can pick any of the offices but you have to stick with it. After I'd already made the appt for my 9yr old I read reviews which mostly seemed to be bad...went anyway and it's the 1st time my daughter cried at the dentist and she's had many a teeth pulled and things done before at a pedi dentist. They were super nice and all it just isn't meant to be for kids (according to our plan any child over 7 has to see a regular dentist...which is ridiculous). I do think the would be fine for an adult but when we went leave he asked if we wanted to schedule our cleaning, this was last month and the 1st available was July 31st!? SO I don't recommend either of the top 2, maybe someone will have good things to say about the NRH one!

Dr. Huffstutler in NRH is awesome!! He did a crown for me several years ago and it was great until I fell and chipped it last year. His staff was great and always helpful. I don't use him anymore as we aren't in close proximity anymore. But I would highly recommend him.

The hygenists there are awesome, the office staff is hit or miss. My whole family has used them for many years due to convenient location and insurance constraints. I've had bad experiences there on several occassions due to bad dentistry. I was made to feel like it was my fault my fillings (which are $220 copays-each) fell out. I recently changed dentists and have had to pay to have three fillings that were done in that office repaired due to cavities underneath the fillings. There are a couple of different dentists there (not Dr. Huffstetler, that's just a name on the door), and they are very creative with fees that are not covered under most insurances.

I don't know anything about Oasis, Dr. Huffstutler seems to always show up on my dental plans but I don't anything personal about him. As for Monarch....avoid them at all costs. They treat their patients like cattle, the staff acts like they could care less about the you, etc. I have been to three different ones in three different cities and they were all the same. I have also heard from a lot of people who had the same negative experiences. Plus, I have NEVER been seen on time and it's usually a marathon visit. I would suggest trying all other avenues first. hello and Happy early Mother's Day, I do not know of those particular dentists in Keller. I do know of a good dentist in Keller though. His name is doctor Goodyear and he is in little office building on Keller parkway and Pate Orr by the Taco Casa and in the parking lot of the Met Church. He is on the second floor and he is a wonderful dentist. Hope he takes your plan. Good luck

Steven Huffstutler is a great dentist. We started going to him when he first came to NRH. You don't get to see him personally very often any more though because his practice has expanded so much. However, BEWARE!!!.... his office staff is HORRIBLE!!! They make the whole experience terrible and we quit going to him because of their unprofessionalism and rudeness. For the last 4 years we have been going to Dr. Stanley in Hurst and he is wonderful with a very professional and caring office staff.
