My youngest child has outgrown the Graco infant carrier/car seat (I also have the "base" for it that mounts in the car for it to be used as a car seat). Do you know of a place that will accept the infant carrier/car seat (and base) on consignment? I would love to sell it. Also, in case I can't find a consignment store in Atlanta, if you could recommend a charity that would accept it as a donation, that would be helpful, too. Thank you.
You can always sell it on www.craigslist.com I would look at women's shelters, too. There may be program for teenage mothers, too.

Please consider the Pregnancy REsource Center on Chapel Hill Road in Douglasville. This amazing organization helps young mothers earn what they need for their babies through parenting instruction.
Kid 2 Kid in Douglasville as well as some other places will take it as long as it is less than 4 years old. THere is also a Prgnancy Resource center on Chapel Hill Rd also in Douglasville that would LOVE it and would give you a receipt as well as the S.H.A.R.E house that helps Moms in abused situations get back on their feet and they too would welcome it give you a receipt.

Normally consignment sales DO NOT accept car seats as they have NO way to know if the car seat was involved in a wreck at any point in time during use.
However, I do know that North Fulton community Charities off Hwy 9 in Alpharetta (Elkins Drive) will take it and give you a tax receipt.
Also M.U.S.T. Ministries would be happy to receive your donation. They are on 41 Hwy in Marietta in the Old Elizabeth church. They too will give a tax receipt for your donation.
I understand completely about wanting to recoup some of the monies spent on baby items, but resale of car seats I have found VERY hard to do.

Many churches in the metro Atlanta area do spring and fall consigment sales that include clothes, car seats, etc. Several of the better ones that I have attended are at Orange Hill Baptist Church on Austell Road, Bethany UMC on the corner of Hurt and Hicks Roads and Smyrna First UMC on Concord Road. Many churches have consignment sales call some of the churches in your area or go onto their websites. Some locale newspapers also advertise some churches getting ready for those sales.
