We recently moved to Lakeland and I am looking to find a playgroup for my son. He is an only child and will not start Preschool until the fall and I would like to find some children his age he could play with. Also does any one know of any community programs that I could take hime to.
Thank you everyone. We went to story time at the library last Thursday and Joey loved it. We are also looking in to a family membership at the childrens museum.

Hi! Welcome to Lakeland! I have a 5 yo girl and 2 yo boy.
When Emma was 3, she took creative dance at Kelly Recreation Center in Lakeland (behind the WalMart). It was tons of fun and gave her a chance to hang out with other kids.
Also - Family Fundamentals (corner of Memorial Blvd and Lakeland Hills, just south of the hospital) has something every morning (I believe). Their stuff is free and lots of fun - crafts, stories, music, etc.
What preschool will he attend in the fall? There are lots of great one!

Welcome to the area! We live in Mulberry, too (originally from VT!) Go Red Sox. Anyway, I'm a new mom with a 5 month old, but I've heard about story time at the Lakeland Library in the mornings. My friend said Thursday mornings at 10am I think. Also, there's something called "Polk Play Group" and I believe that's the website name too (.com) Have fun!
