Hi all, we have been trying to get back into going to church. Life has been as hectic as possible over the last year, but has slowed down a bit - at least for the next 3 weeks. We are wanting to get into a good church. We are looking for something as close to us as possible - we live off of 377 and basswood. Preferably Saturday night services - not required though. We have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and a 13 month old son so a good childrens program is a must. Our 13 month old is a special needs child so I'm hoping to find someplace that will be accepting and accomodating to him. Also a place thats not too loud. We used to attend Fellowship in Grapevine but thats just way too loud for our son, he has sensitive ears.
Please let me know if anyone can assist us in our search! We are hoping to start going as soon as possible! We are looking for a non denominational casual Christian church in the Keller area
I am looking for the same thing! My youngest also has sensitive hearing (he has SPD), non-denominational preferred here as well. We live near Western Center and Basswood. If you find a good one please let me know! Ive heard that Gateway is awesome but its in Southlake.

My husband and I live in saginaw and drive to a church called Grace Fellowship in paradise. Here is the website www.gfcfamily.com, I love this church, it is a down to earth place, and very casual. Wear jeans, there is no sunday school yet, it is a fairly new church, there are 2 services 9:30 and 11:00. There ia a wonderful program for the kids in "Small World", your kids will be in classes with my 2, Brenneth almost 3 and Aeris 12 months. I would love for you to come and visit and meet you.

We live in Park Glen and go to Christ Chapel Bible Church. It is off of Montgomery and I-30 it takes about 25 minutes to get there in the mornings. We have two kids as well our daughter is 2 1/2 years old and our son is 14 months old. They have a wonderful children's nursery/ministry. Everyone is so caring and they have a buddy program for children with special needs. We have tried to find a church closer and visited almost all the churches in our area, but decided we love CCBC so much it is worth the drive. I hope you consider visiting us.

You should check out a newer church in Keller called The Exchange. The pastor was at our church for a long time and felt God was calling him to be a pastor. He is an awesome man of God and has a wonderful testimony. Anyway, here is the link to their website.

Hi G.,
We go to Keystone Church in Keller and LOVE it! It's right off 1709 just east of Keller-Smithfield. It's a non-denominational church that's fairly small. The worship is amazing and the pastor is phenomenal. We usually attend the Saturday night service at 5:30.

G. - my family and I go to Northwood Church in Keller. It's at the intersection of North Tarrant Parkway and Rufe Snow, so not far from your location. It's a great church, warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere, and also has many programs for kids. One of our programs is for special needs kids and their families (called REVIVE). Check out their website - it's www.northwoodchurch.org. My husband and I have two children (11 and 9) and all of us love it. Our services are at 9:30 and 11:00 on Sundays - come and give it a try - you'll really enjoy it!

Hi G.,
We attend services at Northwood Church. It is truly AWESOME! They have a terrific Children's ministry. We have a 3 year old, 10 year old & 15 year old. They offer classes for all of them. They also are very intuitive to parents with special needs children. We actually have a classroom that is designed for just special needs children IF the parents want to utilize the program. They also have something called REVIVE which is a Friday night program. The children can be left in the care of trained professionals so parents can take a break. The music is beyond words and it is somewhat loud. The kids would be in the childrens' rooms so they wouldn't be exposed to it. You truly have to visit to understand. Hope to see you there! They don't have a Saturday night servicea any longer but we love it. They also have a great children's program. Check it out!

Of course everybody that responds with a recommendation for their church is going to love it and think it's the best, so I'm no different! Cityview church currently meets at Freedom Elementary off Wall-Price but we will be moving to a strip mall in Villages of Woodland Springs off of Keller Hicks this summer. We are definitely casual. The church has just celebrated it's 2-yr anniv, so we're still young. But these people have all become my family. Check us out at www.cityviewchurch.net

My name is A.. I am married with 4 children. We attend Gateway Church in Southlake. We have been there 5 years and we love it. They have a great childrens ministy and a program for special needs children. I worked with the second grade class 2 years ago and they were then just getting the special needs program together. So, I say all that to tell you I don't know details but you could look it up on the website. www.gatewaypeople.com. It's funny i have had Mamasource for a couple of months but I usually delete them, this is my first time to respond. Tonight for some reason I thought i would read a few.
I hope you decide to check it out. The worship is awesome and Robert Morris(our pastor)is a great teacher.

I recently became a single mom again with two girls. However, I also work in the 2 & 3 year old rooms during services. They have two Saturday night services and three Sunday services. We also have people to work with special needs children one on one in the classrooms. I would love for you to come and check us out! The website is gatewaypeople.com

Hi G.,
I would like to recommend that you visit my church, The Met, www.metchurch.com. It has a 6pm Saturday night service, and a 9:30 and 11:15am Sunday service. It has a wonderful children's program and would welcome both of your children. I have 11 month old twins and they have been taken care of in the nursery since they were 6 weeks old. I also volunteer in there twice a month as well. (I will be in there this Sunday for the 9:30 service.)
The church itself is very casual, contemporary, and non-denominational; however, the music is loud in the main service. I don't know if you take your son with you into the main service or leave him in the nursery, so that may be an issue. He would be well taken care of in the nursery.
I don't even know the exact address (I'm sure it's on the website), but it's on 1709 (Keller Parkway) about 1 mile east of 377. We are getting ready to move into our new building this summer, located at Golden Triangle and I-35. I would be more than happy to meet you there if you decide to give it a try. We absolutely LOVE The Met, and I'm sure you will too.

My church, Gateway Church, is at Davis and Starnes, not more then a few miles from you! I work at Gateway, so I'm slightly biased, but I have to tell you, in my 40 years "in church" I've never been a member of a more solid, bible believing, friendly church. Pastor Robert is authentic, the worship is sincere, the people are welcoming... I can't say enough. I work in the Children's department so I do know we care for special needs children. Depending on the severity of the special need you may need to attend our main campus on Southlake Blvd. Here's the website so you can check us out.
I was reading through the responses and cannot believe that no one mentioned Hillside Community Church. It is on Ray White, just past Keller-Price (and Central High). My sister-in-law lives in the Park Glen area and it only takes her a few minutes to get to church. We've only been going there for a couple of months but we love it. There are tons of kids and our little ones LOVE the children's church. Everyone has been very welcoming and Pete, the Pastor, is absolutely wonderful! He is a VERY down-to-earth guy that has an amazing gift of delivering the message to apply to real life. The music is wonderful and uplifting and they have endless options with programs. They have Saturday night services and 2 or 3 services on Sunday. You can go to their website at www.yourhillside.net. Good luck in your search. I know it is always difficult to find a place to call home!

I am putting in another vote for Gateway Church. It is the most fantastic church I have been to. The kids programs are awesome, the classes they offer are wonderful. They have many service times to offer.
I had problems with Northwood not caring for my kids correctly, (not changing diapers properly 3 times with my kids) The Met was good too, but Gateway blows them all away!!

HI G.! We love Gateway! We moved here from East Texas in December and a MAJOR reason was to come to THIS church. It is very balanced and healthy. Though it is large, we have already connected with several amazing families. The teaching is amazing, the children's ministry is great-it is not just babysitting and fun games- they do have a blast but actually learn and retain what is being taught, the worship is wonderful and the way the church is run (the government and accountability) is like none other that we have seen. It is non-denominational and you can dress however you like. They have 3 services on Saturday and 3 on Sunday. We love the 4 o clock service on Saturday because it is a great time (no rushed early mornings!) and then we truly have Sunday to spend as a family. I would highly recommend it- all 7 of us love it and feel so blessed to be a part of the Gateway family!

Hi G.! Welcome to the Fort Worth area! My name is J., I live in down town Fort Worth but attend a church that meets in couple of places. We have main service on Sundays in Arlington, which I know is a drive for you, but the church and especially the people are fantastic. I've never gone anywhere and experienced the genuine desire to serve God and one another that I've seen here. My husband and I moved here 3 years ago and were so grateful to have found it. The reason I responded despite the distance is that we also meet on Wednesday in house churches right off of 377 and Basswood! We meet in a home off Parkwood Hill, the first street from 377. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or would like to join us some Sunday or Wednesday. As for the Kids Program, I really love it. We have 2 other special needs children in the church as well and the workers are very loving and accommodating. In fact I will be one of the workers in his class during some rotations! I hope this helps and I will say a prayer for your search. Location is important, but a true and sincere presence of the Lord is even more vital. Good luck to you!

You might try Fellowship of the Parks on N Beach, just past Heritage Trace. I am actually Catholic but the church is very nice and come as you are. They don't have regular Saturday night services but they do have 4 different Sunday morning and on the first Saturday of the month they have an evening service.
They have a wonderful child care program. My 6 yr old is not a fan of loud music either so the child care is great, he can go and play while I go to church. Plus they are great with my 2 yr old who has been going since a few weeks old and is not used stranger watching her.
Hi G.!
Northwood Church is in the heart of Keller (not too far from where you are, off North Tarrant, near the Target, Home Depot shopping area right there off 377), and is GREAT! They don't have Sat. services, but have two Sun. services, early morning & late morning. I'm not sure of exact details, but I do think they have some programs for special needs families. And I know I see special needs kids around church, so it looks to me like they are very accommodating. I'm sure you could just call and they'd be glad to answer any questions for you. The staff is very helpful & welcoming. Their website is www.northwoodchurch.org. Main services are geared toward all ages, not just younger crowd, although it is very contemporary it seems like maybe slightly less than Fellowship, meaning you don't feel like you're at a rock concert, ya know? And the childrens' services are fantastic, my kids love it.
Hope this helps! :)

You really need to check it out. Hi G.,
I almost skipped over your request but then scrolled back up to see if I could help. I see you live in Keller are and I live in keller also. We attend Richland Hills Church of Christ off of 820/Rufe Snow. They have Sat. night services with contemporary worship (so it might be a little loud) and Sunday morning traditional music which is acapella. The way that Sat.night services work is that all the children go straight to class and do not attend service at all. On sundays the kids start out with you (except if they are under 3) and then they go to Power Kids. I may be biased because I am currently a Lead teacher for the toddlers, but their children's program is superb. They are very accomodating to children with special needs. I pray God plants you in the church home that meets all of your needs. Blessings!

You'll find FOTP on North Beach just north of Heritage. There are TONS of children and I know that one of the ladies in the ladies ministry has a special needs child, so I'm pretty sure they can be accomodating. Check out the web site at http://www.fellowshipoftheparks.com.
