Prior to having my daughter at a later age, I had a long career in Marketing/Advertising/Management where I had to wear business suits everyday. They are all high-end designer suits. I placed some in consignment stores and others I have already given away or donated. However, I have many more that I need to move out of my home immediately. I was interested in giving to an organization that can ACTUALLY use the suits for their clientele vs. giving to an organization that then sells them for $ to use in the organization (as I've donated to many of those already). I had heard that there are programs for women that were either homeless or less fortunate or rebuilding their lives after being in Women's shelters and they are given a suit(s) to help them dress nice for new job interviews or just to wear on the job. Please share any worthy women's charitable organization that might need some nice designer suits. The place can be anywhere in the DFW area, though I live in Valley Ranch/Coppell area. The suits vary in size (6-12). Thanks so much. Many Blessings - L.

There is an organization in Dallas that does exactly what you need. They are called "Dressed for Success". They are a wonderful group that uses business atire as a launching ground for women in difficult situations to present a professional appearance and attitude. They also offer mentoring programs, etc. If I were in your position, I would love the opportunity to help them. Thank you-

There is a women's shelter in Arlington that could use them and if you need to find out how to contact them you can contact Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex for more information. Both are wonderful and give stufr to people in need and NEVER sell stuff to make money.

Attitudes and Attire - they help underpriv. women get back into the workforce. They take the clothing and have set up a wonderful showroom so women can pick out a nice outfit for interviews, etc.; help train women to get back into workforce, incl. resume writing; self-esteem courses, etc. Been donating to them for years.
