Cool Beans. Sandy Lake was my 1st job when I was 15 yrs old and had a Blast. I used to serve the food there for parties/events.
It was always pretty organized if I remember correctly.
Happy Birthday to your little one.
Have fun.

I'm thinking of having my daughter's first birthday here. I should be expecting around 40 people (adults and children). This seems to be the only place to accomodate that many people (I live in a apt) and gives the option of making your food there. Has any one ever had an event here and if so how was your experience? Any ideas on a backup plan in case it rains?
Thanks to all your responses...it was a success...everyone, kids and adults all had fun...I would definitely recommend this place. They really make every effort to accommodate your needs. And the managers are very nice, fair people.

Hi,
I have been to Sandy Lake several times with my choirs and I have to say that it is a nice little amusement park, but it is VERY expensive for the rides. You might get better deals than my kids got, but for my kids it was very expensive. Like 2-3 dollars per ride. I may be wrong, but you might want to check that.
I've never been to a BD party there, but I've taken my children twice and they loved it! It seems like a great setting for a party, especially a large one. Good luck making a decision!
M.,
We had a huge corporate event at Sandy Lake and were very pleased. I truly think they have the BEST Barbeque anywhere. The rides are a throwback from the 70's, however, we have always had a great time. I love their huge swimming pool. If the weather works out for you, I think you will be very happy at Sandy Lake. You know, they haven't been around for as long as they have because they offered a bad service. :)
