My 2 year old has had past experiences with eczema (very minor). It seems with in the last week his eczema has been starting to appear. Along with the eczema are these tiny bumps that resemble goose bumps and feel real rough all over his chest. They don't seem to bother him I'm just concerned on what it may be. I'm putting a call into the doctor this morning...but thought I'd also ask the other moms advice too. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Allergies, Asthma and Eczema are all considered reactionary diseases. Unfortunatley, over the past 30 years the amount of documented cases has tripled in children. With the dryer weather approaching the skin is lacking the necessary moisture, hence eczema appears. In addition, there are highly caustic and toxic chemicals found in our everday home bodycare, and laundry soaps. These chemicals irritate the skin. I highly recommend a product called Renu that is clinically proven to be 7 times more effective than Eucerin the most widely recommend by dematologist. Combining Renu with non-toxic laundry care has made a significant difference in my family. If you would like to learn more contact S. Miron at ###-###-#### or e-mail me at ____@____.com

My two year old has the same problem...he had "baby eczema" when he was younger but now when the air gets very dry this starts up...he just has very sensitive skin and I have to change his bath soap when the weather gets dry...I can't use any of the johnson's products or other normal baby soaps and/or lotions on him...Eucerin makes a very good baby wash and so does Aveeno (make sure you get the one for sensitive skin...it is unscented) and Lubriderm lotion is also wonderful (we've also used aveeno for sensitive skin here too)...also maybe your fabric softner or detergent is irritatin him with the dry weather...if changing the soaps and lotions does not work try using a "free and clear" detergent...we like ALL free...good luck :)

I believe a sandpaper like rash is a symptom of strep, so maybe your dr. should get your child tested.

Are these bumps flesh colored? My husband's niece had them around 2 yrs old on her chest and upper to mid-back. You couldn't really see them but could feel and her skin felt really rough. She is now 15 and her skin is soft. I guess she outgrew it since her parents never had it looked into other than regular dr visits and only put lotion on.
