I just quit my job in retail to stay at home with our almost 9 month old son, Seth. I was thinking about maybe joining a 'playgroup' or something of the sort but I have no idea where to start. Just wondering if anyone knows any play groups or anything that would be suitable for a 9month old. I want him to be aquianted with other kids MUCH before preschool. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks.

What can I do next?

meetup.com is great, thats where I found a local mommy and me playgroup. Its been really nice, met alot of great people and taken my little one to activities I wouldn't have known about otherwise! Definately check it out!!

www.meetup.com is a really good website to look at. You can find all sorts of groups in your local area. It's where I met all my sahm friends and found my playgroups.

Have you looked for a MOPS (mothers of preschoolers) group in your area?

You can also look at meetups.com
