A., it looks like you already got a lot of good advice. The only thing that I would add is a reminder to drink lots of water - great for the body and the skin.

Bathe with gentle loofa sponge and use Oil of Olay products for you skin. It's been recently proven the O.O.O. does more good than $1000.00 products from France.
I wouldn't worry to much about cleansing your body. The body does it automaticaly, through Liver and Kidneys,Spleen.
I only use Nivea and almond oil without the almond smell.
I have very dry skin.
And I give it a scrub once a while.
Good luck with your pregnancy.
Hi A.!
Congratulations on your pregnancy! It's wonderful that you
want to take care of yourself first. You are important!
I would suggest cerftified organic cometics and skin are.
They are safe and wonderful! I use Miessence.
You can see the line at www.dorothyf.mionegroup.com.
Essntial oils are wonderful too, they have amazing anti aging properties. You have to be careful though, since you are pregnant. I make my own essentil oils blend for body and face, even babies, if you would like to find out more about it, contact me.
And for cleansing your body I would recommend drinking a lot of water with lemon! Safe and cleanse gently. Also, a lot of fruit juices. Better to juice them then to eat them.
Do this for a detox for a day or two, and don't worry, you and your baby will get plenty nutrient and vitanims.
You can also juice green vegetables ( no beans) separately from fruit and have a nice "green" coctail in place of lunch.
You will feel cleansed and refreshed!
Best of health to all!
And good luck to you!

Pure unrefined coconut oil is great for your skin. It also has a host of other health benefits. This is a safe product for anyone to use, free of chemicals etc. You can get this online or at any health food store.
My grandmother used witch hazel to cleanse her face. I used to buy the $20 bottle of clinique cleanser but finally got around to reading the ingredients. I tried the witch hazel and it makes my face feel super soft. No wonder my grandmother hardly had any wrinkles. You can buy it at Walgreens super cheap. My friend makes a paste out of baking soda and water to use as a mask once and a while and says it works wonders.
Eating right and getting some exercise everyday will balance your body. If you have not been exercising, you should see your doctor about how much you can do to begin with. Be careful since you are pregnant. Congratulations!
A.!
Congrats and good for you! You are taking charge of your health. I totally agree with Dorothy's post about the use of certified organic products. I use Miessence as well and guess what? There is a mother/baby special going on right now that you can take advantage of!! You picked the right day to post! All pure, organic products that will NEVER harm you or the baby! Now isn't that what we all want?
Natural cleansing is essential for all!! I too use lemon and water, but probiotics are amazing!! Everthing begins in our intestines. Probiotics are made from whole foods and help your system naturally cleanse itself all the while giving you high amounts of nutrition! You can't beat that combo!
Come and see what these products can do for you and your whole family! Best of luck to you and again, congratulations!

Hi A.,
My name is K. Teeter and I happen to be a Mary K. Sales Director. I would love to show you our products and teach you about their benefits and how the work. We have top of the line anti-aging products that contain botanicals and other key ingredients for healthy skin both face and body. They are reasonable priced and are designed to last making them economical. I know I have experienced the benefits of softer, smoother, clearer skin. I PROMISE you can try before you buy and if you don't care for the products (which would be very unusual) we will atleast have made a new friend. What is most important is finding out your specific needs and filling them. ~_~ Please contact me my email is ____@____.com and my website is www.marykay.com/kteeter
Of course good skin care starts from the inside out but I can tell you what I use for external care since I don't know what you should/shouldn't consume while you're pregnant.
Regarding body care I agree with Gina and Frenchy...Oil of Olay. I would suggest using the shower gel and if you have really dry skin also use the Olay In-Shower Body Lotion. The combination of the 2 gives your skin lots of moisture which is the key to youthful looking skin.
Regarding facial skin care keep it simple and inexpensive...unless you for whatever reason just want to spend a lot of money. Personally I switch between Mary Kay's TimeWise cleanser and moisturizer and the Classic Basic cleanser and moisturizer. I used to be a consultant but I don't sell it for profit anymore...I just use the discount to stock up on products for myself, friends and family. I'm sure there are probably a few consultants on Mamasource though.
Hi A.,
I would recommend looking into Arbonne products. Arbonne is 100% vegan, botanically-based, made with essential oils (NO mineral oil which can have negative effects), made without animal products or by-products, never tested on animals, and made without fragrance or dyes so the products are great for sensitive skin. The products work better than anything I've ever tried before and they speak for themselves. There is also a 45 day money back guarantee on all the products so if you are dissatisfied for any reason you can get your money back. If you'd like more info please write me at ____@____.com. Thanks so much and have a great day! A. V
I use to use Oil of Olay. I love their products until I started using The Body Shop. It is all natural products, never tested on animals. It is kind of pricey but oh so worth it.
Hi A.,
Congratulations on your pregnancy!Sorry to respond so late, I was out of town for the Easter Holiday (I was having Mamasource withdrawl too! LOL)I love Mary Kay Products. The Timewise Sets are fantastic! They are both anti aging & anti wrinkle...As I venture deeper into my 30's with a 2 & 3 year old I have really learned to value my quick Mary Kay "mommy facials", not to mention my skin looks great!! They also have a ton of body products too!! My favorite is the 2-in-1 shower and shave gel & hydrating lotion or the Lotus & bamboo shower gel and lotion. Satin Hands is also very popular for not only hands but other parts of the body that become rough & dry. I believe in Mary Kay products so much that shortly after the birth of my Daughter I quit my full time job to a be a stay at home mom and became a Mary Kay consultant to help my husband with a few of the bills. I would be happy to share a set of the Timewise samples with you as well as a travel size set of lotus & bamboo shower cleanser and lotion and red tea & fig shower cleanser and lotion. If you are interested please give me a call on my cell @ ###-###-#### or visit my website at www.marykay.com/mjones80162. I live in Plainfield, but travel all over to pampers mommmies - or soon to be mommies!
Good luck with your pregnancy!
Okay-this comes from a nurse. Do not attempt to "cleanse" anything while you are pregnant. Doing so can take essential nutrients and vitamins from the baby. The closest you can really come to "cleaning out" is a lot of fruit and vegetables and protein foods, and cut out red meat. Eat chicken and turkey, and fish. Be careful of the amount of fish consumption due to mercury, pregnant women have been advised of this. Get plenty of folic acid--that should be in your prenatal vitamins already, but getting it from dietary is helpful too. Although cutting out red meat may cause an iron deficiency, you can eat greens and spinach to help replace iron. Cleansing the body can cause diarrhea and dehydration which is very harmful, and strip things such as probiotics and normal floura from the intestines interrupting proper absorption. As a nurse I have never beleived that we should "cleanse" anyways, since the body is created to do that for us through the liver, intestines and skin.
Now as far as anti aging products and wonderful skincare such as microdermabrasion and anti aging products, I can help you. I sell wonderful products for the skin which help with the skin you can see, the skin you can't and the skin you will see. You can really deeply cleanse with these products, and help reduce breakouts and signs of aging. www.beautipage.com/P. is my website, but if you wish to get the 10% discount contact me directly at ____@____.com--
Hi A.,
If your budget allows I'd recommend the Arbonne line of products. They are natural and fantastic! I tried them at one time and could see a difference in my skin in just a few days. I'd love to use it on a regular basis at some point, but my budget doesn't allow for that right now. I remember it was the line that came in orange packaging. There might be an Arbonne consultant mom on MamaSource, or you could probably go to their website to find a consultant. Or you could even go so far as to become a consultant yourself because then you get a 20-30% discount on their products, I believe, with no extra pressure to sell. You could get a few days trial with this product line if you contact a consultant.

Shaklee has a great variety of beauty products, supplements, and anti-aging products. I wouldn't trust my body with anything else.
Their multi-vitamin package called vitalizer is especially great for pregnancy. Their multi is coated in folic acid to make it more easily absorbed by the body.
I also love their make-up and skin care products. They are really great quality.
I use a lot of the Anew face products from Avon. Their anti-aging face products have worked well for me.
Hi, A.. I don't know if you've gotten any other responses or not, but I'm in the same situation as you are. I'm nursing my 5-week old and would love to do a detox to make me feel healthier (in the past, it's helped my complexion too!). From what I've read it's not a good idea to do one when your pregnant or breastfeeding. What happens in a detox is that you nourish your cells with what they need so your cells open up and release toxins (within the fat). As the toxins are expelled, they can go to your milk. If your pregnant, they may be able to pass through the placenta.
Hope this helps! I'll be detoxing when I finish nursing. I've done two. One was a kit from GNC and the other was I followed the plan in "The Fat Flush". Both worked well with similar results.
Good luck!
By far, the Arbonne antiaging line is the best. I am also a RN and agree with detox while pregnant. I would wait. However, the Arbonne's products are botanically based, vegan, no mineral oil, .... I also am an independent consultant with Arbonne and could get you some full size samples to try at home first. I could also tell you about our preferred client program to save you 20% off up to 80% off of your products! Call me or email if you are interested. You won't be disappointed!
Good luck and Happy Easter!
