Does anyone know if photographs can be recycled just like regular paper? I am scrapbooking my photos and throwing out any that aren't "worthy", and just wondered if I could put them in my recycle bin.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Hi there,
I don't see why you couldn't recycle it, but like somebody else said, I would check with your R Company first. Also, and this is just paranoid me, but I always shredd (sp?) my pictures, specially kids pictures, I just dont want to take the chance of them ending up in the wrong hands for some crazy fluke.

I do not believe that photos can be recycled with regular paper. Too many chemicals? The paper I got from Waste Mgmt for recycling says "Do not include: food contaminated paper, hardcover books, photos, tissue paper, hand towels, TP."

I'm not 100% sure but I would bet you can. All of our junk mail is recyclable and it is from so many different types of paper. I would imagine paper is paper, it isnt marked like plastic. I am SO glad to see other people are so dedicated to recycling! Good for you!

It will depend on where you are and the particular recycling capabilities of your county. Cherokee accepts junk mail and magazines, so photos could go in that bin. I don't see why you could not put them in your bin!

Hi C.! It just depends on your recycling company. Some have the capabilities and some don't. Some are VERY strict on what is allowed in their bins... Lots of them just say, no glossy paper. I'd give them a call and definitely shred them first! Our world, unfortunately, has lots of ummmm, lets say, disturbed people in it!

Yes, but it depends on your local recycling company whether they accept them. Give them a call.
