I was going to suggest all of the other places already mentioned. Welcome to the west suburbs!
Hi,
I just moved to Hinsdale. My movers arrived today, and my husband has invited his family over on Saturday to see our new home and have dinner. I doubt I'll be able to unpack the entire house and be ready to cook a large dinner in the next two days! So, I need a recommendation for someplace with good carry-out food to feed a group of about 10 adults and 8 kids.
Thanks!
Thanks for all of the suggestions! I ended up ordering food from Maggiano's in Oakbrook Mall. The food was fantastic, but getting in and out of the mall was a bit of a hassle (no parking, big crowds, etc). I thought the menus at the other places that were suggested looked great too, and I'll be sure to try them for future occasions. Thanks again to everyone who responded!

Have you been to Wild Oats yet? It's a grocery store, but they have a deli and food section. I don't know if they do catering, but if you need extra side dishes, you might check them out.
The food is delicious and healthy.
Depending on your taste --- but I love Cosi in Hinsdale. They do catering as well with sandwiches and salads. There is also a Corner Bakery in the downtown area. There is an excellent chinese restaurant - Jade Garden. If you like polish food, in Burr Ridge is Bobak's and they cater too.
I ordered a lasagna from Salernos in Burr Ridge, it was excellent. I'm sure they have salads and other items to choose from. It was already baked, I just put it in the ovent to warm. My mom has also ordered from Salernos as well. Good luck!
Hi B.,
It's not in Hinsdale but in Oakbrook Mall. Don't know if they deliver but either Maggiano's or Corner Bakery will feed your troop well and not cost a fortune!
Peace - M.
White Fence Farm rocks! They have the best fried chicken ever! And get tons of their corn fritters and side relishes! The actually farm/restaurant is on Joliet Rd. just south of I-55, but they also have carry-out places. One is in Downers Grove on Maple and Fairview, I think. It's across from a dance studio. I'm not sure about catering, but they probably do.
I think there is a place called Tommy Z's that still does catering of this type. They are off of Ogden and Garfield/York (just East of the Shell station).
Other great places are Hua Ting (chinese) and Baldinelli's (pizza). We moved back to the city and still miss these places.
