I have some receiving blankets, a gymini play mat, maybe another toy or two. I also have boyish clothes for slightly older babies. It's all used but perfectly usable. Are you near Minneapolis.

I'm expecting twins May 3 and have been out of work for a month but am in need of finding CHEAP not quality-- pricewise baby items for my little girls. Does anyone have/know of any good resources? Thanks!

Hi,
I have bought nearly all of my son's (now 15 months) clothing, and many toys and baby items, at Once Apon A Child. They buy only quality used items from parents. If you think about it, most babies grow out of clothing within a few months, and most items don't get much use, and are still in style when they get re-sold. I swear by them. I know of 3 stores, one in Maplewood, one in Woodbury, and one in Roseville. I'm sure there are many more.
Good Luck with those babies!

Craigslist.org is a great resource for finding gently used items. For example, I was able to pick up an Evenflo Exersaucer for only $15 and a glider with ottoman for only $50. However, I've found that it's actually cheaper to buy baby clothes at Target new rather than used.
If you're interested, I have a Graco carrier with two car mounts, a tub, a Graco swing, a PapaSan Chair (barely used as we have two) and some other items that I'm going to place on Craigslist. If you're interested, I'll hold off and give you a good price.
Best wishes.
i don't know when/where they are, but a lot of the local mom's of multiples type groups have big huge garage sales every so often. I've heard wonderful things about these, but have unfortunately never made it to one. But that may be a great place to find stuff, too, especially "twins" stuff. CONGRATULATIONS
Hi K.!
Congratulations!! Appreciate the rest you are getting now because when they come you'll not remember what it's like to take a nap.
I'm not sure where you are located, but I have found a few good places to find baby/kids items. One is Bears Repeating in Brooklyn Park (North of 85th and just West of 252). Many times they will have double strollers, backpack carriers, etc. that are very reasonably priced (MUCH more so than Once Upon A Child). Another place I frequent is Arc Value Village. There are a few locations in the cities (Brooklyn Center, New Hope, etc.). You do need to go often to find good items, but even if you are able to buy ahead (12 mo clothes when they are 3 mo), you can find some deals.
Good luck to you!

Do you need clothing? I had a baby girl about 4 months ago and received a lot of used and new clothing from friends and family. Although I'm saving some for possible future children, I do have a big bin of clothing I could give away. Not sure exactly what the sizes are, but if you're interested, I can go through it.

Once upon a child. They have very cute baby clothing and a lot of their newborn outfits are like $2.50 each. I've gone to several ones but like the one in Roseville the best. Congradulations on your pregnancy and good luck to you.
I love this thrift store called Unique they have several locations including Burnsville, St.Paul, Columbia Heights etc. They are always selling nice cheap baby equipment. I've seen double strollers, carseats, cribs, walkers, bouncy chairs, highchairs etc. They have cute clothes too. Other thrift stores in the area won't sell some used baby equipment. So this one is a great store.
Yeah I noticed the Target in Maple Grove had a lot of things on clearance in the infant/toddler department.
I was also going to suggest the moms of multiples groups. I know that there is one in Elk River, and one in Golden Valley, and they often do garage sales of their mulitples stuff. You'll be able to get gear, clothing, etc, in singles, or doubles, and at garage sale prices!!!
I too am a mom of twins. My boy/girl twins are now 17 months! Its SO much fun! CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!!! If you ever want to chat, feel free to send me a message!!!

Check e-bay - you can find lots (meaning a large quantity) of items for inexpensive prices.
You can also check out twincitiesfreemarket.org - this is a website of items that people are giving away for free.
K.,
Sorry to hear that you are on bed rest so early...im sure your days get long. You can try Once upon a child, goodwill, and always check out the clearance racks. I was at Target over the weekend noticed they had a lot of baby girl clothes on clearance. You can also try www.craigslist.com (minneapolis), you can check out the baby/kids section, there are a lot of things for sale everyday, from clothing to toys to gear. Good luck and take care of those babies :)
I just saw another post and forgot to mention that you should join the mothers of multiples group... just do a google search in MN and I am sure you will find a group in your county.
