Looking for Some Great Kids Clothing Consignment Shops

I have a new baby, and as much as I'd love to spend a bunch of money on new clothes for her, I just can't see the point since she grows out of them so quickly. I heard of a place called Ruby Rose's Consignment Shop in Kirkland, but I'm wondering if there are any other great kids clothing consignment places out there that are close to the Kirkland area?

What can I do next?

Me N Moms on Gilman Blvd in Issaqauah is a great place. It is easy to get to and full of clothes. Lots of Gymboree clothing. Remember to bring all the stuff you no longer need too. I have made hundreds of dollars selling stuff there. Good luck.

I love the dollar rack at Kids on 45th in Wallingford. I have even gotten new with tags items for $1 each. These are the items which have been on the main floor for too long. It is crowded and busy but they have great deals!

M.,

If you are willing to drive up to South Everett/Silver Lake area there is a good store called Other Mothers. You can find some good things there. Also, I am a mother of twins, and the twins club that I belong to has two sales a year where all the moms sell clothes and baby equipment and clothes at amazing prices! Infant clothing is always popular because it is hardly worn and most pieces are sold for only $1 or $2. All of the area twins clubs do this, and the next sales are coming up in March. My club, SNOMOMS has its sale at Lynnwood High School on March 15. You can check the websites for EMOMS (Eastside) and NSFOTC (North Seattle) for their sale dates. Hope this helps!

You need to look in your local phone book or check craigslist.com. They have cloths there plus you can make your own add. Going and see the place where the cloths are coming from is better than just buy them in a shop.

A couple people mentioned Me 'N Mom's already - I buy and sell at the Lynnwood location on the corner of SR 524 (196th St) and 44th Ave W. They only accept clothes that are in good shape, and it's so nice to walk out with new things and not pay (because of the store credit!). They also consign maternity clothing.

Craigslist is great for buying clothing in a lot, and for equipment.

Another thing I do is shop the clearance sales at The Children's Place Outlet and Old Navy. You can pay thrift shop prices for new clothes if you have good timing. I buy for the next season, so now that winter clothes are on clearance I'm buying up a size for my girls for next year. If you sign up at the Children's Place online they send you coupons you can use on the clearance prices!

Okay there is a JUST FOR KIDS in Everett
###-###-####
7510 Beverly Blvd
Everett, WA 98203

There is a place near the Library in Marysville on Grove Street. It's a small one but cozy little building.
Garage sales are great.
Also I have stuff that is nearly new for sale and you can get so much for 25.00. Call ###-###-####
I post my stuff on craiglist. The great thing about selling and buying on craigslist is you don't have to do the tax thing and it is free to list and take pictures and put them on there. I am coupon junkie and a deal junkie. I like saving for my future and my childrens future.
Also the Value Village down here in Lynnwood has some great stuff. Next to that Value Village is the St. Vincents. I have the address. Look in both places for stuff. As for the village they get new stuff that like target.. or the other stores don't sell they give and the value village retags them for their store. That's why there are .99 cent stores too. See if you find stuff there. Figure toys and stuff you can find everywhere and recycle the toys and see if another child will need it. That's what I do. Parents if they are smart are going to clean it and do that or sell it.

I found this site while looking on the internet too.
Try this. It's very helpful. I know tricks. My mom was a bargain shopper and found so much more. I know how to eat cheap and not go out so much. Cooking healthy and eating healthy. Ever since I have moved here everything has been green on this side and happy for me.

I really like The Tree House. I've been buying and selling there for years. I never buy new clothes for my kids. They like going there. There is a play area they head for just as we get in the door. I bring clothes in every week. They accept 10 items per week. They do all the pricing and give you half back. I usally feed my latte habit or turn around and get more clothes with the money.
They are located in Redmond by Ben Franklin's. Right down 85th. Right next to Canyon's resturant.
Enjoy

Me & Moms is awesome! They have 2 locations - one in Ballard and one in Issaquah (right in the same shopping center as the QFC on Gilman). I went to a few consignment stores when I was pregnant, and a lot of them were disorganized, not very clean, and hard to find stuff. Me & Moms is BIG and very well organized. They also have tons of "gear" there, which is also well organized.

Hey M.,
I don't know of any consignment shops, but I may have some clothes for you. We are moving and don't want to schlepp all the clothes from our kids with us. I have a 3-1/2 year old girl and have kept all of her clothes in good shape. I'm in the process of going through the clothes. What size or sizes do you need/want?

Consignment stores are wonderful, I buy and sell at my local one all the time! Clothes are great, but then as they get older, toys and books too - it's so nice to get fun things for just a few dollars, then if your child tires of it you just resell and let them pick something new the next time you visit.

I don't live on the eastside, so I could only tell you all the ones near me (in Edmonds) and in the northend! But I'm sure there are some great ones near you, and other moms that live over there will know them. If you are over this way, I highly recommend A Children's Warehouse in Mukilteo (right on the Muk Speedway). They're prices are a bit on the high side, but they have a lot of European and boutique brand things that you might not find used elsewhere, and a wonderful selection of quality shoes. Also they get tons of Gymboree, and lots of complete sets that include socks and hair access. I could browse there for hours. Also up north, in Everett, Just for Kids is great, with lots and lots of stuff, and very low prices. It takes a bit more rummaging, and they generally don't keep things in sets, and the quality is not quite as nice, but for low prices they can't be beat!

Anyway, happy shopping - I love buying clothes for my kids, and consigment is the way to be able to do it the most!
