have any of you moms purchased the Re-vibe 'watch'? There is has been no diagnosis. However, i see minor signs that i would like to get a handle on my son.

For those who dont know, it is a watch that vibrates ever so often to get the childs attention as a reminder to stay on task.

thanks

Kids need help from YOU not a thing. Sit them at the kitchen table to do the homework. Let them do it while you read or do something else. If you notice him getting distracted, you remind him that the work needs to be done before anything else can happen. If he needs help, help him, but don’t give the answer... also, do not be a nag. If he misses a favorite activity because he didn’t get his work done, that’s a consequence. He will learn. But YOU, not a watch, need to help keep him focused and motivated.

I can't see how a watch is going to help stay on task. If a kid can ignore my reminding I'm sure he/she can ignore a watch's reminding. Plus I get to use the money I'd spend on a watch to buy more wine for me.

Never heard of it.
With our son I made sure he knew 'the quickest way to fun is to get the work done'.
If he had something fun to look forward to after his homework was finished, he got it done pretty quickly.
Until the work was done, there was no tv or anything else that could distract and he was right near me so I knew he wasn't playing games on computer if he needed it for homework.

We bought the Re-vibe watch at the end of last school year. The vibrations distracted my son more than helped him. We used it a couple of days and put it away after that. It didn't work for us :(
