Has she been on antibiotics in the last couple of weeks? My son's toddler had a rash as you describe and it was a delayed reaction to amox taken a week prior.
Hello, My daughter is 3years old and yesterday she broke out in a rash that covers her tummy, chest, front and back neck, right side of her forehead and scalp, there are bumps around her mouth ( only a few) and eyes. She has some bumps on her arms but none on her legs feet or rear. She is not itchy nor does she have a fever. I haven't changed detergent and nothing new has been brought into her diet. she has never had a rash like this before and she is up to date on her shots. I don't know if I should put any ointment or crème on her. She was sick last week with diarrhea but that has gone away. Any ideas?

There's no way that we can diagnose a rash without examining your child. Sorry. Skin reactions, conditions and diseases are far too numerous to be able to do anything but guess.
She could have chickenpox, impetigo, hives, measles, rubella, allergy....who knows? I suggest that you contact her pediatrician and get her in for an appointment.
I'd take her to the ped...it could literally be anything! My ped always says rashes are like drag queens- they look like one thing and often turn out to be something totally different!
I think if the rash persists, have her checked out by a doctor... you never know about these things, but sounds like hives.. hives can come on due to stress and with a little one, you don't know for sure what could have set the stress off.. Also, she could have hives due to the material of something.. like say new sheets or clothing.... new stuffed animals... etc.. then couple that with a warm bath (which can set hives off) and then while in bed, the warmth of the covers, bam......... hives attack..
my idea would have been to get in to see a physician today... there's probably still time in your time zone. I wouldn't attempt to treat the rash until I identified what it was.
I'd have the doctor take a look at her.
It could be a lot of things.
West Nile Virus or mono, etc.
A sudden all-encompassing rash is a reason for an immediate medical visit.
Could be viral but doc needs to see.
It could be medical...or it could be that she is allergic to the new dryer sheets, new clothes (not washed first), etc...
One of my kids was exposed to candles last week. There were 2 burning at a friend's house. I only burn soy candles....Anyway, the candles caused an irritation. It took 2 days to clear up.
I would call the pediatrician or dermatologist.
