loins are smaller and won't take as much time to cook - as long as they aren't frozen - i think 2 hours should be just right!!!
Care to share the recipe?!?!?!
Hey mamas,
I can't get my mom on the phone, so I thought maybe you ladies could help me out! I am making this Asian chicken recipe today and it calls for 1.5 lbs of halved chicken breasts to be cooked on low for five hours. Well I had chicken tenderloins and I don't have 5 hrs, so I popped it on high for I am thinking about 2 hrs, since the chicken is in loins not actually breasts. Does that sound about right? I mean I know with a roast or whatever it is about 1/2 the time if you cook it on high. Are there recipes that you cannot cook on high as opposed to low, like they won't turn out right or can pretty much anything be put on high for about half the time? Thanks!

I would say that if you check the meat at intervals during the cooking time and don't overcook it that what ever you do is fine. It sounds yummy!
That said, each time you take the lid off during the cooking time it takes about 15 minutes for the climate in the crockpot to get back to where it was when the lid is replaced and left on, so maybe at hour intervals take a chunk of chicken out and slice into it to see if it's done.
make sure if you are cooking it on high, that there is enough liquid in the crock pot that your chicken doesn't dry out. Hope it's fabulous!!
I think it would be fine!
Sounds yummy. As thin as tenderloins are I would think that would be long enough, two hours on high in my crockpot has things practically boiling. I would cut through a loin and make sure it was not pink in the middle is all.
My answer is probably too late but that should work just fine. Just keep an eye on it so they don't overcook.
