Question About VBACS

I had a VBAC at Pres two years ago.

Pres does "allow" them, and all doctors on call are supposedly on teh same train of thought about them. It isn't called a "vbac" anymore, it is called a "tolac, trial of labor after ceserean" Of course your doctor will need to give you the thumbs up for it and they are very cautious to make sure everything is favorable. I just had a baby six weeks ago and was goign to try for a vbac but then she turned at 37 weeks, went to breech then transverse. The factors my doctor was concerned about were the size of the baby, position of the baby and of course the type of incision I had previously had, and I was considered "favorable" for one because I had a vaginal delivery before my csection with my second birth so they knew I physically could do it.

The Hospital itself allows it, I had a C-Section with my first and when I had my baby the Dr allowed me to try but I ended up having another C-section after 10 hours of very long labor. Talk to your Dr. and make sure the Dr is ok with it.

I really don't think it's up to the hospital for VBACS, it's mainly your Dr and your history with previous births that makes that decision. You need to talk to your dr about that question.
