We live in Valrico and this will be our first Halloween in Florida. Are there any real pumpkin patches around....the kind you take a hay ride to and you pick out your own pumpkin?

What can I do next?

I am actually from a little south of here, but down in Bradenton (where I am from) there is this HUGE pumpkin festival every year. They also have a Christmas light festival too during the christmas season. But Its called Hunsaders Farm. The link is http://www.hunsaderfarms.com/upcom.htm#pumpkin

It really is so much fun. I have been going since I was a little girl. They have face painting, food, games, hay rides, corn field mazes, and the best part- THE PUMPKIN PATCH!! Good luck!!

we also live in Valrico and take our kids to Hunsader Farms each year. They love it, there are hay rides, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, games for the kids, food, crafts, etc. We make a day of the drive down to bradenton and it's been a lot of fun for my daughter.

Look online. There used to be lots of them. I know Ruskin had a big one at one time. Also there was a big one in Sarasota. I know there are a couple of pumpkin festivals in the close area that have big pumpkin patches. Like I first said look online. A good place to start would be to google pumpkin festivals in florida.
