You might check your local landscaping and gardening stores. Here in Rockwall we have Landscape Source that has a really nice pumpkin patch that's free.
Where is a good place to take pumpkin patch pictures? The only places I know of are the farm in celina or richardson, or the dallas arboretum. They all cost money too so was hoping anyone knew of a free place.
Thanks for all the suggestions! We ended up going to Celina and took some cute pictures there. Then we also went to the play area at the Village in Allen off Stacy and 75 and they had a cute house made of pumpkins and I took some great picts in there too!

Try the corner of Custer & Legacy in Plano .. there is a huge field of pumpkins & a nice area of haystacks specifically set up for pictures. FREE! Profits from sales of pumpkins go to support the Custer Road United Methodist Youth Missions.
Try looking for a church with a pumpkin patch. The Arapaho United Methodist church, in Richardson, has one every year. They sell the pumpkins to raise money for the church, but they are perfectly OK with people taking photos of their children too.
There's a big pumpkin patch at the Dallas Farmers Market they're selling the pumpkins, but I bet mo one would object if you just took pictures
