Ds is taking a class and has to put about 40 pages into page protectors. The instructor wants each page numbered.

ds asked my opinion on how to do that...his options are to hand write them on the pages...pull all pages out and run them through the printer..or getting labels to stick on each page...

he prefers the stickers...but I have done an Internet search for a very labels and all I see are round 3/4 inch ones....does anyone have any tips on how to find square half inch labels?????

What can I do next?

You could use mailing labels, run them through the printer if you like and cut them to be the size you want.

It might be easier to use a full label sheet and cut them after printing. Good luck!

I use a lot of labels in my business.

I have some Avery labels style 05430 that are 3/4" x 1.5" (not square thought). These work great for me. I got them at Staples .. Most office supply stores should have them.

Check out the office supply places because they have all sorts of sizes and shapes.

Good luck

If your DS is printing the pages he needs to put into the page protectors, he should have the program he used (likely MS Word) or the printer (if it's an option in your print screen) number the pages prior to printing the project.

If your DS is supposed to put previously printed sheets in page protectors, I would just use a fine tip sharpie and neatly write the numbers in the lower corner of each sheet.

I would use either file labels and cut them or mailing labels. I have purchased about 1/2 inch sized stickers from Walgreens or the dollar store but they are on small sheets of about 20 or so and not really printer friendly. When we need small labels at work, we just print on the file sized and cut them out.

I run paper back through the printer or if it is hard to hit a particular spot, I use a label.

If the label is too big, I would just clip what I need. Don't worry about a perfect cut, it is white on white.

I agree with Ms May. If the pages aren't already printed, just have Word (or whatever program he's using) number the pages for him. If the pages are already printed, just handwrite the numbers. Stickers sound like more work than they are worth and there's always the risk fo them falling off.

Office supply stores and crafting stores like Michael's have labels and stickers in all kinds of sizes. How old is your son? I think projects should be age-appropriate and that something handwritten that requires less parental supervision is fine for young kids. This sounds like an extensive project and I hope it's not beyond his age! Don't be afraid to let him do it his own way - if it requires a ton of lining up on the printer, it's going to stop being his project and become yours!
