Agree with the advice to go to the doctor, get the luteal phase thing tested, and then get a prescription if you need progesterone. I did that, my son is nearly 2. My friend took my advice, her daughter is nearly 2 months old. Good luck!

Natural bioidentical progesterone cream is completely safe...it is actually what your body makes, just in some women not enough. And yes, I believe it helped me...I was unable to get pregnant for five years prior to using it. However, ultimately I give God the credit since He is the giver of life.

Here is a good link about natural progesterone cream to check out:

It worked for me. I used Emerita progesterone cream and never cycled it through....just applied it everyday for 3 months and got pregnant the third month. We got pregnant without a problem the first time - in fact, we weren't ready! The second one, I started progesterone cream after 4 months of trying.

There is no right answer for every woman. You'd need to talk to your doctor, and see where your personal hormone levels are. In some cases, you could actually keep yourself from getting pregnant.

No, I don't believe that to be true. Have you been taking your temperature to see if you can tell when you are ovulating?

that's a chemcial. Any chemical you add to your body will be absorbed and will enter the baby. I'd stay away.

I have never heard of that before sorry. I would ask a dr. before you try anything though bc you dont want the cream to have a negative result. good luck.

No. There is not enough progesterone in over the counter creams to make any difference. If you believe you have a luteal phase defect (low progesterone), then you need to see your dr., have your progesterone tested at 7 days past ovulation, and if it is low then they will prescribe supplements.

I have had 3 rounds of IVF and each time used progersterone. The way doctors prescribe it is in oil to be given as shots or as a vaginal cream.
I don't think the body cream contains enough to help.
