there is a great preschool at Rainbow and Charleston, called New Horizons Preschool. My daughter went there for two years and loved it. It is part of a private school, and doesn't have some of the problems that the "chain" preschools have.
Does anyone have any experience with preschools in the Summerlin/Northwest part of town? I would like to find a part time one for three year olds for next fall -- just two or three mornings a week. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated!

My grandson attended Creative Kids Learning Center on Craig and Decatur. I was extremely pleased with the way they treat the kids. If I had to put any of my grandkids anywhere, it'll be there. The Director, Rosa, is a great person. The staff are really great with the kids. I never saw anything that would make me think twice about putting him there. Sorry, I cannot share anything closer to where you live. I was not happy with La Petite though. My daughter briefly worked for La Petite and said she will NEVER put her kids there.
My little one is at Litl Scholar Acadamy. I love it. It offers a very clean environment and she has learned so much since she started 3 months ago. They will allow part time for 3 year olds too. They are located on Hillpointe near Rampart. If you are not familiar with Hillpointe, you can access it through Rampart between Lake Mead and the Summerlin Pkwy. http://www.litlscholar.com/
We just went to their Halloween party and were able to meet all the teachers. They all knew my daughter by name and she definatley had her favorites that she called by name and ran up to for hugs.
Best of luck.
I have both my 3 and 4 years old children at Challenger. Part time and it is only $8 more a month than I was paying at that lousy good for nothing hole Creative Kids. My kids have learned soooooo much. My husband and I love the school. Its not costly for the preschool. Its a real school not a daycare. They learn there and have a blast doing it. They are strict there but never use any force. Its amazing truely. My kid go in the afternoon and can't wait to go they just love to learn. Just compare prices and just what you will be paying for with the other daycare/learning centers/preschools.
