I am using the powered formula, and i know that you can just mix it and give it youre baby. I was wondering if at nite. Would it cause any harm to the babys stomach to warm up the bottles and give it to him.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I just wanted to thank everyone for the input.. Since i had to go back to work, and i work in a daycare the formula has to be premade, so we just warm up the bottles anyway..
Thank you so very much

It is perfectly fine to heat up the formula at night. It does not make a difference that it is powered.

Sure you can. Just don't get it too hot. We always used warm water to mix the formula with, or if we mixed it ahead of time, we used a bowl of warm water and set the bottle in the water to warm. Daycare actually uses a crockpot to keep the water warm during the day and they just stick the bottles in as needed to warm up. Doing that way you do have to be careful not to leave them in too long or the bottle/formula will get too hot for the baby to drink.

We always warmed them. The directions say to use cool water to mix it. But that you can warm it after that. We used a bottle warmer at night (for convenience) and during the day put the bottle in warm water. Good luck!

I always warmed it as well. My son will still drink warm milk as part of his bedtime routine at night. I personally think he sleeps better. I also like the fact with the water warm it dissolves the powdered formula a lot easier.
Good luck!

My daughter wouldn't take room temperature bottles. So, I would put the water in the bottle and heat that up in the microwave. Then, I added the formula. Of course, I always checked the temperature before I gave it to her. But, we never had any problems doing it this way. Good Luck, I hope this helps!

no I used to warm my daughters bottles too, make sure you warm the water first then put the formula in. If you premake your bottles and keep them in the fridge then take the nipple off before warming them and make sure you shake after warming and remember to test them.

For nap time and bedtime I always heated the bottle just a little bit. It seemed to set the mood for my kids. Imesan even some adults drink warm milk before going to sleep. Good Luck!

K. I would make the bottles before I went to bed then heated them up before my babies ate. Remember you can only keep powered formula that has been mixed for 24 hours after. And it must be refridgerated as soon as it is mixed. good Luck M.

Hi K.,
Both of my sons wouldn't eat their bottles unless they were warmed. Just make sure it isn't to hot. Good luck.

K.,
Just don't heat a plstic bottle in the microwave. Chemicals in the plastic can migrate into the milk. Best of luck.
