I am a single mother and trying to find work. I have been applying for different places but have no success. I am struggling to pay my bills, pay for my son's speech therapy which he needs, and don't think there will be a Christmas for my boys this year.
If anyone knows of anyone that is hiring in the Customer Service, Medical field please let me know.
I will Greatly appreciate it.
Thank you and God Bless
M.

I don't know about a job, but I agree that ECI is a good choice for you for speech therapy, but you should also call Easter Seals. Right now.

I just got back from the Adventures in Autism conference at UNT and the research clearly shows that intense early intervention can make autism almost unnoticeable.

Easter Seals has a program for 3 to 8 year olds, and if there's a waiting list get on it! But don't miss this chance.

M.,
I don't have an answer for the job problem but I do recomend you contact MHMR for your son so he can receive services through them. I know the waiting list is huge (years maybe) but at least you get him enrolled and start the process for the future. Is he on the PPCD program at any school? He should be getting interventions there. Good luck and hang in there it WILL get better!

I live very close to the Watters Creek new upscale shopping area and advertisements are around the retail stores as well as Market Street grocery. I've seen some part time and some full time. Just google Watters Creek Allen and the site pops up. Great stores and restaurants!

Good luck

Just about all retail stores are hiring for seasonal help. I would try Target and Walmart at first. I know you probably don't want a temporary job, but at least this would get you through the Holiday's. Target is really good about offering permanent positions to seasonal help who do a really good job too. It is just as hard for them to find good reliable help as it is for us to find jobs! I promise! I used to work there and really enjoyed it. A lot of people think of retail as something below them (I am not saying you think this way), but it really isn't. You get to meet a lot of people and really make a difference to shoppers. Yeah it sounds silly, but think about how hard it is to get great service anywhere. It really makes my day when a good employee helps me! Flexible hours too are a big bonus!

I was told Blue Cross Blue Shield was hiring for customer service. I don't know any details though, sorry. If I can get more details I'll come back on and let you know.

Good luck, I hope you find something really soon. I'll say a prayer for you.

I think temp agencies are very helpful. They can sometimes lead to good jobs... I haven't used them in the dallas area, however, I'm from Illinois and I had some really great jobs from them that turned into permanent ones.
I'll be praying for you,
GOD BLESS!

Hi M., I would like to recommend ECI for speech therapy, they do not charge, especially if you have medicaid or chip. Ask your pediatrician for a referrel.

I'm sure you've tried these already, but the Baylor and THR websites are the best places to look for positions in those large hospital systems.
