both my sons had a plastibell and it turned out great for both of them. As others have said it falls off on it's own in about 7-10 days. Doesn't take a whole lot of extra cleaning or care. Just clean well with each diaper change.
looking to find out if anyone has done the plastibell circumcision and their thoughts. also who does it in NW suburbs?
Not looking for peoples opinions on how they feel pro or con circumcison.....Thanks!

Had plastibell for my son...didn't seem to bother him and you don't have to worry about using vaseline, gauze, etc. The ring falls off in a week or so. I think the doc did a great job and it looks good...he's now 16 months old and no problems at any time.
When our first son was born a plastibell was used, but when our second son was born the hospital did not use one. The plastibell falls off on its own. I hated having to use the gauze and vaseline with our second son. Both boys look fine and have not had any complications.
My oldest (now 5) had a plastibell at birth. It was easy. My younger two did not--different state I guess.
Here's a page on the plastibell method vs. other methods of circumcision
Both my boys had plastibell. I don't know any different, but I was very happy with their results. It did not take long and the ring fell right off. I coated it with vaseline to prevent sticking to their diaper. Now at 3.5 and 1, they look like a "normal" circumcised little boys.
