Hi everyone! I'm in need of a photographer for my son's baptism. Ideally, I'd like someone that can provided me with edited photos on a CD so that I could print my own and someone who isn't super expensive. Any recommendations?
I'm also debating on whether I should take him to a place like Picture People in Yorktown Mall for his 3 month pics. Any feedback on Picture People? I have a really good camera that I've been using to take his pictures, but thought it'd be nice to get "professional" portraits of him.
I went with Nessa Hendriksen, who was a referral from another photographer. We got great Baptism photos!

I highly recommend Beth from Family Focus. She does excellent work and is very reasonable in price. We had her take our family photos last May and we love the photos. She charges $125.00 for 75 photos on a CD that she gives all copyrights up to you. A 60 minute session. She has her own studio and also is willing to meet someplace. Check out her site:

I've got two daughters (3.5 and 1) and went through the whole gammot of photographers over the last 3.5 years... PicturePeople, Sears, JC Penny, friends etc. All were okay, and then I was referred to http://www.jessicajill.com/ by a friend of mine. Check out her site... she's absolutely amazing. Really nice person, too. Yes, more expensive than the big studios, but I guarantee that the pictures you get are totally worth it. I figure they're only little once.

I cannot tell you how amazing her work is and amazingly reasonable. I think she has a facebook page too. I am a Pure Romance Consultant and she and I go way back for wedding/bachlorette parties. She is really an amazing photographer. Check her out seriously. I am sure she can provide a portfolio you would be inpressed with. The children's pics I have seen from her look like they were taken out of magazines!

My brother in law takes amazing photos- and I'm really not biased. He's VERY reasonable, you get all pics (he uses a website now from which you can save all pics and print yourself) and LOTS of pics, he's done our birthday parties, my friend's son's baptism, weddings, and he'll even do portraits- outdoors or studio. You could probably find a photography student at a local college who would do it for little to nothing because they need things for their portfolio. They are usually the most up to date people on the newest technology in photography, since they're taking those classes NOW. Look into it :)
